CRAZY RAYS MT. AIRY Maryland

For anyone who is familiar/near crazys rays u-pull-it in mt. airy, there is a near perfect FIREBIRD FORMULA 350 there.

the car is completely factory with the l98 tpi setup.

i pulled a few parts off of it, but its all there, from the wheels to the motor.

150xxx miles on it. Just lettin everybody know, its a nice car. Shouldnt be in a scrap yard. but its good for parts.

theres also a 91 z with a disc brake rear, no motor.

Re: CRAZY RAYS MT. AIRY Maryland

I was there this morning at 8am when they opened. That black formula 350 was super clean and barely touched at all.On the other hand that 91 z28 behind it was all torn apart, however they left some good parts behind.I got the 145 cluster, fog lights and hood blisters.

Yeah man, i had all the intentions to tear apart that formula on sunday, Was gonna take the tpi setup, intake up. but it started raining. All i was able to get was a hose clamp off the intake, and loosened the iac. and a dakota bumper.

such a shame that car is in the yard.

last month there was an lt1 impala ss there.

Re: CRAZY RAYS MT. AIRY Maryland

Theres a few third gens here and there. A couple of v6 4th gens. One car looks like a tbi 305.

theres a v6 4th gen firebird painted like a freaking microsoft paint project. (hideous)

I didnt get to look around for long because i needed to get a bumper for my buds dakota, and it was pouring.

Also, idk if anyone will find this interesting, but theres a WHOLE BUNCH of 7.3 diesel international uhaul trucks, fully intact.

I saw that the one rubber hose was removed from the maf and just sitting there.Id love to take stuff like tpi parts and so on but crazy rays prices are very high compared to the yards here in philly.I do like going there cause I usually always find good stuff. The f bodys in my local yards get picked over the first few days after they get put out and they have nothing left.I do a crazy rays run about once every 3-4 months and hit all 5 locations

Re: CRAZY RAYS MT. AIRY Maryland

ahha, yeah, i swear i spent most of my time staring at it wondering why the hell it was there. it had firehawks on it, slightly dry rotted, but i think im going back to get a set of wheels/tires to burn through.

crazy rays is a bit pricy.
but its always a good time there.

Re: CRAZY RAYS MT. AIRY Maryland

Funny thing happened when I went to the jessup location today...a guy was like...."man i didn't know you had to take the parts off yourself! i didn't bring no tools!" He paid me to help him pull a fender off a cavalier
