3rdgen stuff 4 sale
3rdgen stuff 4 sale
well, i decided to make a new post in hopes of keeping this whole forum my selling section.
Everything listed is off of my 91 z28
GM performance parts crossdrilled/slotted rotors all around:
anyone interested in these gm performance parts rotors let me know otherwise i'll just put them on my other car. if i sell them i will also be including earl's braided brake lines.
no modifications are needed to fit on a 4 wheel disc setup....just bolt and go; they do work awsome but i have no use for them anymore.
z28 swaybars: $30
........come and get them.
premier stereo equipment:
well, i no longer have a use for a radio so i'm selling my setup. right now i'm getting rid of my head unit which is a premier 900R and a matching premier 12 disc changer. this setup is 3 years old shelve life but i bought it new 2 years ago.
i have 1,100 tied up into both; i'm getting rid of it for less than half; will accept any reasonable offer.
i'd like to do this within michigan if possible unless there are those really interested.
3rdgen z28 seats: $250
3rdgen z28 upgraded interior with adjustable headrest......lightgray in excellent condition.
would like to get rid of them, just taking up space so make me an offer.
Full exhaust: $550
it's off my 91z l98.
dynomax jet coated headers, custom y, 3" stainless, 2 chamber flowmaster with single out with new stainless 3" tip.
setup is little over 2 year old with over 1100 in parts. i need a larger setup now. i've rarely used the car; but because it is used i'll get rid of it for 550 or 650 installed if anyone is interested let me know.
hope it's not to confusing, just trying to free up the board some! :lala:

how much for the complete L98? Starting a shopping list for a spring swap. Let me know, thanks
p.s. why are you tearing that car apart?
p.s. why are you tearing that car apart?
well, i plan to do a 600 horsepower drivetrain swap. for this i either need to build the existing tpi or start from scratch. while it's cheaper to just use a block from a junkyard that checks out it isn't that much cheaper. figured someone might want the engine since it is good rather than me tearing into something that works seems like a waste; i can help someone out who wants a tpi and i make a little more towards the big picture.
trans is good, can't hold 600 though........so it's either got to be rebuilt or sold so i can replace it. why rebuild a perfectly good trans when someone like mike who needs one could swap me his. i could rebuild his and save a little money in the process while he saves money going with one already built. win/win
the driveshaft i would get rid of because a 600 horsepower there are chances for problems. i will just reuse my steel one.
rear because if everything else is built why shouldn't this to be safe right?
i look at it this way, if i can get rid of good working parts that i'm not going to use and it can help towards the price of the parts i can then everyone wins. but, i don't need to get rid of anything since the car as is runs in the 12's. so unless someone has a need and isn't trying to rip me off then i'll leave it be for now.
you guys know who you are.........come on 300 for engine, 100 for trans, 25 for driveshaft, 50 for brakes...........these are the rediculous offers i get. i have no problems with making offers but don't take this as i need to get rid of anything so lets try to rip him off. i know what the stuff is worth too.
anyone who is interested, make me an offer; it's a simple as that; i'll consider it all!
mike, if you want the trans you need to figure out what you want to do; i get pm's everyday wanting some of this stuff and i need to know.

complete l98..... $900
700r4.... $500
rear.... $500
driveshaft.... $125
rotors and braided lines....$350
that's it, the entire car.......
everything i have for sale mechanical is currently still on the car; those who are willing to drive can see or use the parts to tell that they are in fact working and in great shape. i will not ship anything out of i would rather have someone see it in person and know what they are getting into so that there is no reason for hardships down the road.
let me know if anyone is interested, otherwise it's time to start on the project car.

Selling nice car parts is next to impossible. My garage is loaded with brand new stuff I can't sell because I'd rather keep it then sell for dirt cheap. But more realistically, the average 3rd gen owner can't afford that kind of stuff, new or old.

true and i don't expect anyone too. but, since i'm not using it i will put it up just in case someone comes around that is looking for one of these parts.
all of the prices are extremely reasonable when compared to what they cost and the condition it's all in. it's just a matter if someone needs them or not.
but, i strongly agree; more likely than not they will sit on a shelf or go into my other 3rdgen project.

which seats are you talking about, currently i'm only selling the stock cloth ones. if you want my 4thgen graphite leathers then that would be a separate situation in which i wouldn't take any less then 500.
no i won't pay for shipping and i'm on the east side with the boats and stuff.

damn 500 huh, how about your stock cloth ones then? what color are they and how good of condition? i would probably be willing to pay up to 200 for the pair if in good enuff condition, if you have any pix could you just email me them? if so my address is lukepoorts@aol.com thanx a bunch man

You have a PM on the air intake stuff
. If it is still up for sale I will prolly go for it if the price is reasonable.......
. If it is still up for sale I will prolly go for it if the price is reasonable....... define reasonable...............custom and thirdgen don't go well together in the same category as reasonable. isn't that i wouldn't want to, it's just more often then not i'm better off holding on to these parts then giving them away.

approx how many miles on the brakes? ill have to see how our house hunting turns out before i can move on anything but im very interested.. my brakes are on their way out anyways.. ive been wanting to upgrade... ill keep you posted!
sober333, it has just under 110,000........
there are no real mods, unless you consider an airfoil and a ported plenum?
the engine is a very strong runner indeed; i'm only "thinking" about getting rid of it as if i go with my driveline upgrade i will not use anything other than the block. yes it would come with the computer and basically anything else an l98 engine should. it's still in the car as i'm not planning on pulling it for another couple of weeks or so......maybe sooner. haven't decided yet. i had it dynoed over the summer just for fun and it put out a little over 220 at the wheels. with my setup on the car the fastest on street tires is a 13.8.
if you were interested and obviously i didn't decide to do the engine upgrade i would be more than willing to let you come and see how it works in person so that you know what your getting into.
however, if your only interested in the l98 parts; since i don't plan on using them maybe we could work something out and i could sell you them for cheap along with the computer and everything else you might be interested in. let me know your plans and i'm sure we can work on something. as most know on here i'm very easygoing and happy to help any fellow thirdgen lover out. unless your a *****.......which i'm sure your not.
roxieshotrod; i've got a couple people pending on the brakes as they are an excellent deal since new all the parts are around 900. however, no one has come to me with cash so the offer is surely welcome and appreciated. i've sent you a pm; let me know what your interested in and your situation is. i'd be more than happy to work with you as well.
also, i don't know if your into shows or not; but i really need some stock underhood brackets and such; if you would like some ceramic coated (polished look) peices i would be more than happy to work out some sort of deal as it can really brighten the underhood and i have no use. i hate to have these parts stripped if someone can use them.
anyone wondering where i'm at i'm aprox. 30 min north of the windsor bridge in macomb twp. off on the water. everything that is for sale is in the best condition that you'll find anything used; most parts are on the car and will only be removed when the said person can check it out for them self.

89rsIMPRTETR; i sent you a pm on the seats!
Matt87GTA; i would love to work with you on the intake; but if i don't sell it i can reuse it and seeing as how something of this sort doesn't exactly depreciate i can't go much more than what i told you.
however if you want one built i'm sure we can work something out....there is always 3" which would be alot cheaper than the 4" too!
i'm sure mos of you have seen my engine wether it was on here or in the magazine but i'll show you a pic anyway so those who are looking can get an idea of what the brackets and engine itself contains!

Well, I just really can't see any room for dealing on it to the point where it would make sense for me to do it. I mean I really have no business looking into it in the first place with the Ram Air hood coming in the spring for my GTA and the fact that I have a somewhat half-a$$ed 3.5" Home Depot CAI already on the car that follows the same routing. I actually took the sawzall to the battery tray area on the passenger side (Pontiacs have the battery on the driver side) and opened it up and have the 3.5" opening K&N cone filter sitting down above the bottom of the ground effects behind the passenger fog light with a 4" duct aimed at it coming off the air dam. Seems to work well but your tube would be a nice improvement over the 3.5" flexible plastic crap I have running into the factory Pontiac 90* elbow coming off the TB....
What I was thinking is that I would maybe try dynoing both a regular CAI setup, and the ASCD RA hood with a RA box when I get it and see which one works better. I love the looks of that hood, but am kind of skeptical on how much air those little nostrils can pick up at speed when you consider laminer flow of the air and all......
But like I was saying, I had no idea you had that much into it. And I understand where you are coming from completely.... I have stuff sittin here that I feel the same way about.... What can ya do
.
Well, good luck man.
Laterzzzz,
Matt

i'm reusing that...........sorry.
as far as the cai on the dyno versus the hood and the like. ram air hoods don't do a damn thing except at very high speeds. short of the stock setup with the restricted parts cut out and the "snorkel" looking idea there isn't anything that will really help you.
understand your buying it for looks before you get disapointed with 5 extra horses. typically it's the filter if anything that makes the difference and on cars like ours that make very little power stock you won't notice all that much.
good luck with the hood, get some pics up if you can when it's done.

Here's a thought...
Save your pile-o-parts. Throw them in a pickup or trailer next spring and head over to Jefferson, WI for the Swap Meet. You'll find lots of potential buyers there, and might even pick up a few interesting, useful items.

to far of a drive for a swap-meet...........thanks for the suggestions though.
i think most of this stuff is going on my iroc
til the end of december; after the new year if it isn't sold i'm going to reuse it.
just figured someone might be looking for similar things. i know i would have killed for all this stuff at the time i bought it for these prices. will make one nice iroc though.

you were only treated porely because you came off like a jerk and then tried to blatenly tarnish my name........still haven't heard anything that sounds like "i'm sorry".......
so i don't think you were treated porely, more like you were deserved.

You are some piece of work. Why are you so hostile? Is your vocabulary too small for constructive criticism or what?
BTW, no where on this post does it state what car this came out of, or have reference to your website. Further more there are no pictures. I asked you questions fair and square. You really ought to look into anger management classes.
Also, I have yet to be burned by someone intelligible on this website. In fact, you are the first person ever.

hey, i tried to be nice; i told you what to expect just in case you didn't know because i was unaware that you saw the thread here on thirdgen.org and it upset me when you came back with what you did. typically i'm a very nice person that tries to help everyone out; ask anyone of the other guys that have bought things on that list or that know me in person from our gatherings and shows. the last thing i would ever want to do would be to burn someone or get upset. what you said was uncalled for and i didn't feel like taking it.
take it how it is....
to anyone looking i have had the unit checked out at an electronic shop that deals with premier products and their warranties just to make sure that everything is up and running. the reason for the two prices is i don't want to have to remove my cable as it's installed under the carpet and it would be alot of work. the cable itself costs roughly 85 dollars. if someone didn't want to purchase the cable i would get one for an additional fee. there is a reason that the changer is so cheap and that is it. although those of you who have talked with me about it already know.........the rest who haven't obviously aren't interested.
and just incase anyone else is confused everything for sale is either still in or came out of the little red car in the picture below.

with or without tires..........i'm looking for around 900 with the michelin pilots that are on it.
roughly 650 without the tires. you can get them single plated with trade in on your own rims for around 700+
check your local major tire dealer first!!
these are tripple plated which means they will last longer and look a little brighter. but not everyone needs such a thing.

no it was custom made out of exhaust tubing; my particular unit is 4" stainless that is mandrel ben and has had the welds ground down smooth and ceramic coated. i have roughly 300 into it.
regular tubing and doing it yourself would be around 50 plus the airfilter of your choice. i went with a k&N which was 45.
if you have any more questions just email or pm me. i'd be happy to help you duplicate it!

i could really use a stock casing for my alternator as well. if anyone is willing to trade you can have my coated one for cheap.
coated brackets and hinges are still open for negotiation until the first week after the new year. going cheap or i just strip them, some one must want some under hood appearance items.
merry christmas
