Hey everyone!

Looks like spring is finally here! Woo Hoo!!!!!!

Anyone interested in getting together in late April/Early May? Several of us got together at the Beef-a-Roo in Rockford last April 1st and pretty much froze our butts off but had a good time anyway.

Let's see who is ready to wake up their cars and do some socializing etc, etc, etc,

There is going to be a Cruise Night on 5/15 at the 34 Drive-In Theater in Earlville. Let me know if there is interest and I can get things arranged.

Earlville is about 8 miles east of I-39 on US 34 so it's easy to get to.

Hope we can get a good turn out. Should be a good time!

I'm headed to Byron opening weekend, with the camaro this time not the Daytona. Anyone want to race?

 

Hey new87 what color is your car? I'll be at byron on the fith if the weather is good. I'd also be intersted in the earlville idea i've been to that drive in a couple of times.

i'm in for byron opening day. where should we meet for the drive up. i'm somewhat close to 59 and i88 naperville area

 

I'm installing the cam and NX kit on Friday and Saturday. We need to set it up for Sunday. The track opens the gates at 9am and they start running at 10, but with opening weekend track prep I'm sure it will be more like 1030 or 11. I'll be there at 9am Sunday April 6th.

Looks like there is some interest in doing something at the Drive-In in Earlville. I'll get some more details in the next day or so and let eveyone know what the plans are.

I get my car out of the paint shop this week. I had the stress cracks on the roof fixed.......hope it lasts!

Yeah, I do. Just been swamped here at home with a remodeling project. Maybe we can work out something next week after work. I work in Aurora so it shouldn't be too hard to arrange something. Let me know your availability.

Here's what I know about the Cruise Night in Earlville on 5/17.

It will be held in downtown Earlville and is sponsored by the Businessmen's Assn. It is really a car show and not a cruise but that can happen later or before if we want to meet near Mendota off of I-39.

Registration is at 5:00 and the first 50 cars will get a dash plaque and the first 25 cars will get a photo taken.

There aren't any prizes but there also isn't an entry fee so that's cool.

The tie in to the Drive-In theater, was in hopes of getting some of the car people to go to the movie after the show is over.

I think it would be really cool if a group of us met at the BP truck stop at the intersection of I-39 and US34 about 4:30 and cruised as a group to the show. Earlville is about 8 miles east of I-39.

i can ship that radio if you wanted. shouldn't be more than $7 I would think at the most.

 

So, how did everyone survive?

 

I survived just fine. I was the only one that showed up with a 3rd Gen. There were some awesome cars though. I heard that there were 120 cars that registered.

Oh well, maybe next year some other 3rd Gens will show up.

I haven't seen anything of Bluebird in a while. Hopefully everything is ok.

I've been hoping that we can get some interest in organizing a get together this year. Not gotten a lot of responses so far buy maybe it's because the weather hasn't been the best.

Anyone up for getting a date selected for a picnic or meeting at Byron or somewhere???
