my car was keyed today badly. the ****ers put graffiti on my passenger door with a key, a line in my hood, right fender, and left quarter. i want to kill someone. you put all this time effort and money into a car and some ****heads key it. does anyone know if there is anything you can do short of a full paint job? I dont have much money so any economical suggestions would help. and if any of you are good at body work like this i could trade mechanical work for body. im a mechanic. ****ing pieces of **** ****s

best bet for a cheap paint job would be do it yourself or try maaco or a maaco equivalent.

you could try using some spot putty to fill the grooves, sand it down with some 400 grit, use touchup paint on it, sand the touchup paint smooth, and then buff it. It probably won't be perfect, but it will definately be better than it is now.
It sucks how stupid some people are, doesn't it?

i know people with "professional" paint jobs that aren't as good as some maaco jobs...seems to depend ALOT of the people working and the store.
you could sand the areas down, spray some primer and some base and try to blend it...it's not as hard as it sounds, there's a tutorial floating around somewhere on fixing a dent and spot painting a 4thgen firebird, he did it fairly cheap and it looks good
if people hate me, they're welcome to come beat my ***, but why mess with my ****ing car?

i think ill try the DIY paint and dent repair. i took it to a body shop and they said it would be 780. theres no way i can do that. maybe ill just fix the dents. i think i might be able to get a paint job out of my insurance due to the hail damage. all i know is if i catch someone messing with it again they're gonna wake up in a hospital.
thanks for the tips, my dad tried maaco on his 80 z28 and he ended up getting it repainted the next year.
