I have an 84 firebird (V8 car) that I will be interested in getting rid of soon...It has the original 305 and T-5 setup. It was a cancerous MN car and has seen better days. I had new quarters put on and new front fenders put on a while ago...but it has been sitting outside...

I would let it go cheap as I have my GTA and this car will not receive any more of my attention...

where exactly is the car located, when does it have to be moved, and finally how much $$$. I just got a line on an 87 Firebird today so all would depend on details of both cars. nothing def on the 87, my nephew told me today a friend of his is getting rid of his car so he is going to call him for me and get some details from him.

 

The car is located near Anoka at a friends place...but I need to take a look at it first...hopefully today...and I will grab some pics.

Any for $$$...definitely $500 or under, at one point I thought about using it as a drag car, but decided to focus the money on the GTA...It depends on if you will come and get it or not, and how being outside has treated it. I haven't seen it in a year. Let me look and I will post...

just so you do know I live down in Rochester so I can tell you 500 (hihgh end I know) is to high b/c I have to pay for gas, a flat bed to haul it all the way to my place. the last time I brought a car down to my house from mpls the car was free (thanks Milt) but the total cost was about $150.00 to get it to my place, so do keep that in mind.

 

I understand your situation...I am more concerned that the car go to a good home and either be fixed up, or used to keep another thirdgen on the road...

As for transportation, I have a 3/4 suburban and a car trailer, so we could include a bit extra for gas and be done with it...if you want the car, of course...

It looks to be in the same shape as the last time I saw it...as for rust, the drivers side floorpan near the gas pedal is in sad shape and the doors have some rot around the bottom inside.

The car has no accident damage, the stock 305 and 5 speed ran (although with 170,000 miles) the engine didn't run very well...it burned oil...and the rear is a 3.23 open drum.

It has the f41 suspension and is a Firebird with the LG4 and T-5. It has a fairly new wiper motor in it (about 3 years and one rainy night). The front fenders and rear quarters are new aftermarket that I had installed.

I am flexible on it...and I know that I will never restore it since I moved on to my GTA and can only afford one. I already have a big loss on it and this is better than the junkyard...Let me know.

do the doors have manual or power windows?
are those t/a fenders on the front?
and are the doors and fenders rust free?

I may be interested but it wouldn't be till the first week of feb i could do anything about it. (if transam84 doesn't want it)

EDIT: i see looking at the pics it's got manual windows.

 

The quarters and fenders ARE NEW (as mentioned above)....if there is any rust, it is minimal...ie small surface...as the work was done with clean parts and then the car was primered. But it has been sitting for the last year and a half or so...

If the deal doesn't happen with transam84, then I would consider you next in line...

Dave my nephew said his friend is getting rid of his 87 Firebird if you may want that one. it is a complete car and even drives still. it is red, t-tops,v6,and I guess needs exhaust and some other things. I will find out the scoop on it. I guess he wants like $200-$300 for it.
