Car: Black 1984 Mazda Rx7
Engine: SBC
Transmission: WC T-5
Axle/Gears: 4.10 LSD
FS: Midwest Motorsports Forged 355 -0 Miles- Perfect For Boost! $1500
$1500 Or Trade For Complete 5.7 TPI + T-5 Or 700r4 Or possibly other engine/tranny combo's.
First off The engine was professionally built/assembled by Midwest Motorsports in Ames,Iowa - And I do have all the build/parts receits except for the crank. The engine is basicly new outside of the shrink-wrap and crate. Here's the specs.
1979 350 4 Bolt Main Block Bored And Honed .030 Over
The block was magnafluxed and hot tanked.
The Oil Galleries and pickup were de-burred for better flowing.
After everything checked out, here's what was installed.
Wiseco Forged Pistons - 8.5-1 Compression Ratio - Blower Rings
Eagle Forged "3D" H-Beam Rods - Rated For Over 700HP
Eagle Forged Crank - Looking For Receipt.
GM "487" Heads - 2.02/1.60 SS Valves - 1.6 Ratio Prowler RR's
Slight Port And Polish Job - 76cc chambers - Crane .500 Springs
New 7 Quart Oil Pan
Crane Xtreme Engery Cam - 2800-5800 Range
Comp Pushrods
Alluminum Pulleys
Alluminum Water Pump
Moroso Chrome Air Cleaner
Chrome Valve Covers
Chrome Dipstick
Unknown Balancer - Looks New
You also get the nice stand it sits in! What a deal ;oD
Engine does not include intake manifold/carb/distrib.
I'm trying to describe this motor the best I can, I dont have all the papers in front of me so this is all off the top of my head but atleast you know the basics, any questions just shoot me a PM or e-mail me at my address below.
The only bad thing about the motor is on the outside of the heads there is some surface rust from sitting, easily sanded off (I may do it anyway before buyer picks up motor)
Like I said just shoot me offers or any trades you have in mind.
Sorry for the bad pic quality, I'm gonna try and see if I can get some better ones took.
Thanks.

BUMP - Nobody Needs A Nice Blower Shortblock? $1500 is less than half the build cost and this engine has 0 miles!

I wasnt the one who had it built, I just bought it from a local kid who was in college and needed money, I'll e-mail him on that and ask him, I'm 90% sure it is, is there any other questions you would like answered? I'll get some better pics up ASAP, thanks

I finally spoke with the previous owner and he directed me to the receipts and yes the whole rotating assembly has been balanced, I feel dumb asking $1500 for this engine because I know its worth more, but with the lack of info on my part I know I cant ask what its actually worth, but like I said I do atleast have the receipts for the buildup and parts.

The motor was built for a T-88 turbo setup but a 6-71-8-71 would work very nicely - Going to run somewhere around 800-900HP,I'm more than likely going to post it on ebay tommorow and see what happends, I found a nice 406 that will be a beast in my rx7, So I need to sell this engine asap.
