I know Edison school yard well...Not too many years ago I was part of a drunken trio in a chevy pick up, I riding in the middle between the drunk guy driving that did'nt have a licsence and the owner the truck in the passenger seat. We were heading to some girls house and driver decided to take a short cut through the open feild/football, once he cut into the grassy area he decided to try and whip a doughnut, well that did'nt work too well at 45mph and we ended up tipping the truck onto the pass side door-was really surreal as the truck slipped in sloow mootion

I remembered I was'nt too drunk to begin with (but I got a CDL licsence so my tolerance level is half the legal limit-.04)and that brought me back to sobrity real fast, had to climb out the driver side window-owner of the truck was a short fella so I had to boost him up and out LOL, we tried to push the thing back over but it would'nt budge. Not even a minute later cop cars, fire trucks, and an ambulance were formed in a semi circle around the truck with all their lights going drawing out the neighborhood since it was only about 9pm., it was acene straight out of a movie or a COPS production LOL!!

I got stuck sitting on the ground next to a squad car's rear tire while they did the drunk test on driver and owner of the truck was talking to another officer by the school. Funniest part, it was cold out that night, I had no jacket and a bladder full of beverage that needed expelling...looked around and all the policeman looked predisposed so I took a wizz on the tire....just as I was zipping up the officer and my other buddy (owner of truck) that was just questioned walked right past me Guess he seen what I was doing as they started walking toward me so buddy dropped some out of the blue questions so they could stop a second and talk LMAO!!

Night ended with tow truck driver and us waiting for cops to leave so we could pay his bill and driver out of there, truck started right up but smoked terribly for the next week. By the time we got to the girls house neither one of us were hungry, chicks were freaked out, and we could'nt get the driver buddy outta jail cuz he had an appointment with the judge first thing in the morning.

Not proud of the moment, but just typical guy sheeot that we've all been part of at one time or another...lesson learned-dont drink and drive, we also found out that night owner of the truck could've also ben charged with OWI by knowingly letting a drunk driover behind the wheel

LMAO, so you've been there awhile?? if you remember that I assume so was actually probably what 4-6 yrs ago that happened, I quite keeping track of dumb things and timelines...my memory is'nt so good as it all seems like yesterday Funny thing was I was literally the guy "stuck in the middle", but must admit looking back with noboddy getting hurt it was a heck of a ride

Have you lived around here your whole life, or blindly get suckered into this pizz poor town. I've got another buddy that lives over on Wallgate, he owns Custom Drywall so you've probably seen his van/truck driving by, he's got a 66 GTO (still in grey primer with Weld Pro Stars) he's been working on for awhile. He raced with us for about a year, then deemed his car a "classic" and wont take it back out. Now he's got a Lemans that's a sister to the GTO beside the garage that he was going to put the drivetrain out of the goat into and race that while he finished restoring the GTO.

Yep I see the GTO all the time.I heard he bought it from a bank all tore apart then put it back together.Hey I`m not sure about driving my Camaro that far with a bbc and 411 gears. The engine isn`t even broke in yet.Lots of rpms for a bbc.Have you ever heard of lift bars?Southside Machine in Smithville Ohio did the rear suspension on my car. That is what I had some questions about.I would like you to see it so I`m still not sure about goin that far with it besides it has open Supertrapps on it and is kind of loud.Soon I will be putting FlowMasters on it.

No, the goat was purchased brand new by his grandfather, handed down to his father who handed it down to him and naturally it's needing some TLC. He's got the complete brand new interior kit in his basement, he's just waiting to get the body work completed before he installs all of the inside stuff.

All I've run for the past 2 years is 4.11 with full spool and 28" tires, going down the hwy I tach about 3500, not keeping up with traffic mind you, probably in the 55-60 mph range and if the motors built right, that is not even phasing it. We've got 3 BBC in our group all with 4.11's that see a ton of street miles every year, interstae miles included, ya just dont wanna hold it at 4K for hours on end since it'll tax even the best cooling system. Helll, drove mine back and forth to the track plenty of times, grundy center, la porte city, dunkerton, jesup, independence, cedar falls naturally quite often cruising Uni, reinbeck....it had enough street miles/problem free miles to wear the street car badge proudly And I can tell you first hand, we've run the Super Traps before and Flowmasters are not much quieter if at all with a decsent motor under the hood...kinda why i had to install a decent stereo system so I could actually hear something over the motor LOL!!

As far as your lift bars, Stephen on this board runs the same set-up more less and he would be the #1 guy to talk to. I've never been a fan of SSM bars on any car since it really screws up the IC on all the G body cars/Fox body cars I've seen with them, Stephen says they are totally different for our cars so I'd like to see them in person before I make any opinions about them, but with a decent amount of power it easily over powers the tires since it usually give too much anti squat. With that heavy pig under the hood you need some AS, just not as much as I've seen SSM deliver...they work great on mild hp cars since usually they dont have enough power to really hit the tires hard and make them work as intended, but once you go past the docell lil motor your going to have tuning problems even with the best shocks/springs money can buy.

Dont happen to need any slicks do ya??...I've got 4 sets in the basement, all with 1/2 tire life rubber wise left in them. I usually replaced slicks about every month to mmonth and a half to stay competative. I have'nt listed them on ebay yet, but I need ot get rid of them and the price is definately right for anybody that needs a good set of shoes.

No wipers??? u gotta have wipers and a horn baby!! or else it aint a street car.

I've got wipers, but getting caught in the rain with slicks....no that's a whole nother ball game, makes me wish I was driving on ice since you at least have a shot at traction

Definately some killer thunder going on too!!

Oh well, was supposed to go and start detaching an addition for a place that's getting moved today, was actually kind of happy to see the rain. Went over yesterday to see what would be involved, and there were some killer wasp nests in the attic...Been stung too many times as it is from them dammn things, dont mind bees stinging me, but them friggin waasps attack you and dont quit until you squash em LOL!!
