I seemed to have lost mine in my move bakc to Illinois from Oklahoma when I left the Army. Any help would be much appreciated. thank you all.

Ask your neighbor to weld a lugnut on top of the lock. Then take them off. Buy a new set when you are done with your work. There are too many different keys (20) for you to get lucky and find someone with your key that is willing to give it up! The only way to know if it is the right key is to try it. Get the picture?

I had some where the nuts were like a hexagon looking but had groves on all the sides.I just Got a 12 point socket that was a tad bit smaller and hammered it in the lock nut carefully with a breaking bar and got it loose

Our local pepboys has a tool that basically has threads on the inside that dig into the lugnut, It will destroy the lugs but least you can get them off. BTW I never tried it, can you go to the local gm dealer maybe they might have some in stock?

Dudes,
Channel locks will remove anything, just use some muscle.

GM charges somewhere between 50-100 to remove them

When I worked for General Motors, we would charge one hour of flat rate labor ( at my dealership that was $72.00, which was 5-6 years ago so has probably gone up since) just to take them off. There was a master set of 24, and the lowest tech on the totem pole, got to try each individual key until they found the right one. GM has brand new sets available at the parts counter for $20.00 with key. As for getting them off, just pound on a socket ( preferably one with a lifetime warranty ) and take them off that way.

THANKS!!!

I would just like to say thanks to everyone that had any input on how to get my wheels off. I really feel this will be an answer to a problem I've lingered over for about a month now. Also, special thanks to dave84bird for letting me know how much new factory lugnuts and locks would cost and where to get them.

Sincerely,
Thomas Hunter
