Re: Troy IL/ STL Area
I'm not from Troy but I got stranded there for 4 days around New Years of 2005. I was stuck with no car and nothing but my credit card. Funny thing is, two girls gave me a ride from the McDonald's in Troy to the casino and they were driving a thirdgen blue IrocZ. THAT was a weird weekend. Anyway, I'll never forget Troy.

Re: Troy IL/ STL Area
I'm from the STL area, woohoo and such! Florissant MO's the area, and here's my tricked out ride:

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i3...Underhood1.jpg
http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i3...0Pics/UhOh.jpg
Performance modifications:
Previous owner's: 4in cowl scoop on crooked (easily noticeable from upwards of 50ft), 4 holes from 2 failed attempts at hood pins, damn stickers (don't know just how many), 1/2 way done primer job ON TOP of said stickers, ripped off rear spoiler left steel clamps on the hatch and loosely installed non-stock cracked fiberglass spoiler, replaced alternator-to-battery cable with a smaller-than-a-pencil diameter wire held on with medical tape (see above picture of it burnt in half), half a dozen dents and dings. Oh yeah, dorky looking (but super-comfortable, why it's not in the trash) steering wheel, cracks in windshield, and holes in dash and plastic thingy (between windshield and driver window) from wanting to look at more GODDAM TACHOMETERS!!!
Mine: 4in open element air cleaner (stock assembly was hacked but still left in by guess-who), 1st, and 2nd timers bodywork on said dents and dings, 3rd timer's bodywork on scarred hood, got a real cable for the battery (no tape either!), installed new radiator, and oh yes, put DIRECTIONAL TIRES ON THE RIGHT WAY!!!, that's why the tires have ARROWS ON THEM!
. I've also performed various tune-ups and maintenance since I got it for free 3 or so yeras ago (wouldn't run cause guess who tried unsuccessfully to put in a blingy stereo and effed up the wiring, good thing I'm certified as an Electronics Systems Associate).
But I'm not bitter, it's actually been very fun doing all these fixes, the bad parts are just finding the mistakes. Also, obviously my mods aren't listed in order, the tires were the first things I took care of.

I live around the STL area; about 30 miles southeast. I go to school in Edwardsville though. I think that's Madison county, right?

Got an 89 RS a month and a half ago in Missouri for $750. Not the best shape. Has a 305 TBI and a 700r4
Havent taken her on the road much since Im not insured on it yet, but its got a problem missing.

Anyone interested in helping, Id like to swap trannies out for one that I think might work (got it cheap) over christmas break from school

Re: Troy IL/ STL Area
There are lots of pics of my car at the link in my original post. All of the pictures there are too big to post in the thread and I'm too lazy to resize them. I don't drive the Camaro to school; she doesn't go further than 20 miles from home. I'm sure I've seen your car before, doesn't immediately ring a bell though.

I live in Litchfield, or as the locals call it, litchpatch. I drive a blue w/ silver ground effects 88 camaro, lo3 w/ t5. Mine is recognizable cause its the only one in town with the short 88 spoiler. I used to run an 87 lt w/ a swapped 350 and th350 combo. I just sold it to my dad though.
