I hope I got your attention with that title. If anybody is within reasonable driving distance from Escanaba, MI (that is in the Upper peninsula) there is an event coming up this summer you won't want to miss.

The Krusin Klassics car club holds an event called Fun Run. I have attended it since I was 12 (I'm now 28) and have been a participant since I was 14 (my first car was a sweet '78 TA). As a fund raiser the car club raffles off a classic car. Past cars have included a really sweet 69 camaro, 30's chopped coupe, and a 70's corvette. This year the car club has chosen a '92 Camaro Convertable. I am pretty excited because it is both a nice car and it is giving well desirved credit to a classic car that we all know and love. Tickets are $5 a peice and the winner is announced at the dance held after the car show.

Even without the chance at winning the camaro the event makes for an absolutely great weekend. Starts with registration on Friday at the UP state fairgrounds. Follow down to beautiful ludington park to prepare for the car cruise up main street then along lake Michigan to Gladstone and back. Friday night the club holds a participants dance (I usually just hang out in the parking lot looking at the cars). Saturday morning starts the car show/burnout contest/etc. Whole thing ends on Saturday night with another dance and anouncments of all the raffle prizes (and there are usually a bunch).

Now my favorite part! Last year the car club got the Livernois chassis dyno setup and participants could find out their true HP/TQ for only $75. The dyno ran all day during the show and each car could make two pulls with a short cool down between runs. The dyno was expensive to rent and the $75 wasn't covering the expense but this year they decided to run the dyno on friday during registration! This is a very cool opertunity to watch and participate. I've been trying to persuade them make it a competition and have trophies for class winners. No matter what they decide on that it is still going to be fun.

Sorry, not givin away the TTA. Should be interesting to see what kind of numbers she'll get on the dyno though. I'm really hoping to get a my new turbo installed by then! Hope to see you there
