Re: midnight mayhem
A friend at work told me it's coming up soon. I've been busting my **** to get my Trans Am's interior back together on my days off so I can make it, I should have it done this weekend as long as my order from modernday muscle arrives tommorow.
I know my car won't run low 14's like it did when it was new, I'm just hoping for nothing to break and at least 15.5 lol.

Re: midnight mayhem
hey there, i hit up my first midnight mayhem, and raced for the first time in over 3 years.
i think i talked to you ziggy, i had a red 84 bird. you mentioned something about doing the custom gauge panel, and remembered i have an aluminum panel that might help ya out. it was cut based on the later style dash and wont work for me.
hit me with a pm if you are interested..
btw i saw the 100 mph run, you have more there just need to find some bite, what was the time slip like if you dont mind?
i went 14.91 @ 94.01 2.39sec 60ft best ever on all accounts, first time the car has ever dead hooked, like i said before we left broke the trans mount, but its got an Energy Suspension one in now so i should be good to go.

Re: midnight mayhem
pretty decent, does it try to shift at all or just hang in gear? any other slippage? if you looking for a place to get it done, there is a small shop i like up in low moor, Dunn Automotive, he has done 3 for me all in different vehicles with no issues and the price is right, one was a 4x4 s jimmy with a 4l60e, $950 and he removed and replaced it
i was 9.66 1/8th mile, i think i did ok for an old truck motor with an unknown rv cam, especially since i only have $100 in the longblock
, i roasted the tires on the first pass, so i played a little conservative on launching the car 2nd time around, go figure i had great hook and truely thought it was gonna die, but it jumped and went. chalk it up to lack of experience once every 3-4 yrs isnt often enough.
i'll be hitting up another mayhem event it was a pretty good time, wish i could have watched more but cant run if your not in line.
