What does everyone do in his or her spare time?

What does everyone do in his or her spare time?

Reason I ask is, we all have jobs or school to deal with when we aren't doing something car related.

Currently, a friend and I have started tearing down a 305 to get experience in rebuilding engines. We've decided to throw this engine in to get the 84 running once I pay it off. Also, once the car is home, we're rebuilding the front suspension (I have the parts in the garage, just need to paint them up)

I plan to take pictures of the entire process, as I've taken some snapshots of the engine disassembly. Who knows, I may set my webcam up to my laptop, and have it take a picture every 5 minutes. We'll have to see.

EDIT-- I know, I know, I should set up a webpage for these, I'll get to it eventually.

The engine pictures are located in the links below

I do laundry, dishes, and try to make something worthwhile eating now and then.

Spare time? Whats that? I have no spare time. I work 6 days a week, and have school 5 days a week. Spare time is usually spent with my girlfriend or on lousy homework. Soon I gotta start lookin for a college. Anyone know if UTI is any good?

I was lead engineer for Instrumented Sensor technology (www.isthq.com) until Christmas, when I quit my job to become a full-time house dad. My spare time is spent cleaning up the house after a full day of three kids under the age of six, of which one is still in diapers and the oldest is a "special needs" child. My other spare time is spent trying to start up a new company called "Haslett Engineering LLC" for doing electronic design, automotive instrumentation, and shock & vibration consulting.

When I'm not doing that stuff, I spend time trying to maintain my relationship with my wife.

Lastly, there is my '84 Trans Am, that sits in a fully heated (albeit unfinished) garage, on Jackstands, midway through a torque converter swap that I started in October. I bought the TC in June of 2001. I drove the car about 1100 miles last year and didnt get it to the track at all.

Spare time? Once you get married and have three children, you dont have such a luxury. Oh yes, I almost forgot: There is that great time waster called the internet that eats up 60 minutes of my day. That said, it's time to go finish vacuuming the dining room and then clean the kitchen floor!

Not a completely bad life, the wife DOES still let me buy speed parts! I just cannot find the energy to install them!

life

lol@ws6transam
your bio(on what you do in your spare time) sounds almost exactly as mine would sound. married with kids keeps one very busy. my wife works 1st shift, me 2nd to reduce daycare costs and when I get off work every night at 12:30 that is when I get most of my car work done. usually don't ever get to bed before 2am then the kids get me up at the crack of dawn. you know what though guys I wouldn't trade any of it for anything though. kids are great. I just wish I seen my wife more often during the week. oh well we make up for it on the wkends right, not nessecarily
