You got ripped off man. That could have been done for alot cheaper. A box alone is around $200, and I know an amp rack isnt no $800. I wouldn't pay more than 300 for what you have there.

Just because you get something cheap doesn't mean it's a good deal. there are a few people (though most of them aren't thirdgenners) out there who are still willing to pay the money necessary to get good quality work done from a specialty shop instead of buying some cheaply made chinese piece of crap or some poorly assembled junk that a teenager built in his basement.
If you go to a good audio shop and get prices on good quality work, priced at $60/hr labor, you start to realize that you're not getting a dinner cooked by Wolfgang Puck at a Chef Boyardee price.

kids
define kid I’m 21 and in college, im engaged don’t have a full time job and I got shafted when I bought my 83 z. MY car needed new everything only thing it had was very little rust and nice paint. I’m not against quality work, but when I say quality its hand built by me quality everything I have done I’ve done on my own and its taken me a long time to get my car where it is. Mostly to pay for items I needed I shopped around borrowing and trading from other cars. For engine parts I had them donated to me by a friend. Most of the work I’ve had done and parts that went into the car like window tint were given to me as gifts. So my point is just because were “kids” doesn’t mean all of us lake an apprecation for the cars and quality. Every see a 8 year old making shoes in china, those just might be the best shoes you could buy but the shoe laces are assembled in chicago so they say made in the USA. Mine box is just as good as that one. Hand made by me. I can even lay me t-tops over the top because the box is recessed with a removable nylon lid.
