I've got older gen 6 dfi for sale. it comes with everything you need to plug it into a 90-92 tpi car. I got it off from friend of mine go bought it new back when it was the hot ticket. I used it for a few years and don't need it any more. it had a jumper box that plugs into the factor harness plugs and then into the gen 6 box. so that you don't have to deal with your VATS doing anything funny. I don't know if it still works as I never tried a key without my chip in it, not but it doesn't set off the light and the car starts so I went with it. the jumper box even has the knock sensor module built into it. so the knock sensor works like normal. it can be used with a 1, 2 or 3 bar map. . I was using a 2 bar with my procharger and it worked great.I've searched a bit and some people say these will handle low Z injectors and some say they wont. i never tried and prob wouldn't but if you research it. you may be able to. the gen 6 will data log for you and it can be viewed with excel. but I never did it since I had an lm1 wideband and just used that. but the book tells you how.
I even have a copy of the book that was written about how to tune this system. even thou its not that hard at all. the cal map software has a utilly built in to it that you punch in your injector size, rpm range, motor size and hp. it spits out a base map(ve table) and you go from there. it also uses the stock o2 sensor for closed loop. which you can set the rpm limits for, so you can idle in open loop if you need for for big cams.





the laptop is old but works. no batt but I have the house power cable and the cig cable for the car and its not one of the inverters, its the oem cable for this laptop. which has a barebones windows 95 on it. which is enough to run logworks for my lm1 or lc1 and prob most others. accel itself runs in dos mode. so no worries about dealing with windows at all if you don't want it. I have the autoexe.bat setup for it boots straight into the calmap software. once its up, if you want windows you just hit Q or esc and it loads windows like normal.
the jumper box has enough cable to mount it where the stock ecm goes and then put the accel box under the seat but I never liked that. and if you remove the plastic ecm holder. both boxes fit up where the oem ecm goes.
oh and it also has a built in n2o table. when you wire in the dash switch to it. it can do anything you want with your n2o kit. from a 2D graph of how much timing to pull vs rpm and how much fuel to add at what rpm along the way. to what rpm and tps % to activate it. say over 3krpms and over 80%tps. also you can add an a delay amount. I always thought this would be good for having in a manual car. so that when you shift 2nd gear, you can delay it a few millsecs to give the tires time to hook up and easier on the clutch since it has time to hook back up too. but since I have a blower, I never got around to playing with spray but my buddy did and loved it.
even thou its an older system, i really did like a lot about it and just hoping someone else gets some good use out of it.
i'm looking to get $400obo plus whatever shipping is, out of it. or i'll just keep it to have around since no one seems to have ever seen or remembers them selling these boxes back in the day.
oh and i guess i could be open for trades of some kind, even thou i have no idea for what. but you can throw out ideas or just pm me with them if you want. i don't take offense to much.

I'll check the numbers on the ecm tonight, but its a normal gm one. and yeah, its got the cal map cable. its in one of the pics. the black cable in front of the laptop.

thanks that was very helpful.dont know how to download that program though.making my own cable looks easy.jegs wants $300 and change for just the cable.what a rippoff and 89 for the program.

I can't seem to find th specs for part # 74046. Do you know what the application is for? And was it working the last time it was pulled off (You can connect with your pc)? The reason I asked because I bought one a while ago and the driver inside the ecu is now corrupted.

i googled it and found a link to our site lol. but yeah, seems like normal gm ecm and then the jumper box makes it plug straight into the stock harness.
