Stay out of New Britian, and Hartford!!! Both are great places for parties, but kind of low class if you know what I mean! manchester is not bad, lots of places for cars, and such, and as far as the "chicks" go, I a in High School, with a fast car, so it is all good!!!
Seriousely, anywhere you stay will have what you are looking for, and if not, you drive a little ways and you are there!!!

low class as in run down and ****? which is the best area? or rank them what u think. thanks man!... btw... im a college guy with a supra and a camry...any luck for me? supra's not comin up though.... its in the garage in the "project" stage. camaro blew up
wow... u could throw a giant wing and a fart tip on the camary and go cruzin down the Berlin Tpk.... ive only been here for college for about 2 and a half months now.... so far this area sucks ***... sorry to all the New England guys... its not like Jersey... no white castle... no 7-11's, no late night diners.. no really good pizza... OH ill be at UMASS tonight... i get to see what else Mass. has to offer.... and 5.0 ur in highschool? i thought u were older then me or my age.
Nope, I am 17 and in High School!!! It does suck, but I have to do it, and then I can look forward to 4+ years of college!
I agree that New England isn't the greatest, but it isn't so bad. I am so used to it here that I would probably feel like you anywhere else!
Yes I do mean low class. I don't know about ranking them, but I would stick to the upper class areas, like Avon, Farmington, Greenwich (if they allow you there J/K)! Maybe it is because I live in a more upscale area, but it seems pointless to hang out with people stupider than me! Good Luck up here, both of you guys!

vernon is nice for the most part. i grew up there. try to live on the veron side of vernon rather than the rockville side. but most apartments are in rockville or closer to it, some are real nice. manchester is not to bad either depending on the area. they are about 15 mins to hartford, with no traffic and depending on how you drive. my best time was 8 mins.
i never liked ct, but ill propably be moving back there next year. i dont like snow and i out grew the town i was living in. if your older like 21+ then there is stuff to do in hartford. but as long as you are over 18, you can get into the gold club
anf 5.0...my mother teaches in berlin (kensington is the same i guess). from what she says, its a nice area. but from what ive ssen its just like many other towns in ct.
and there is no way you would want to live in avon or simsbury...and no way you would gett an apartment in greenwich.
my best friend lived in simsbury, let me tell you that both simsbury and avon have the nothing to offer. they are out n the sticks, takes forever to get to them. and both town have there not so nice areas.
id live in vernon, manchester (despite buckland mall and all the traffic), south windsor, or even ellington. they have been bulding alot of apartments out there. i doubt i would live west of the river.

Avoid New Britian and Hartford. Bristol is close to New Britian, and isnt bad. Avon is WAAAAAY to expensive to live in. Manchester is nice, and the others arent to bad.
Oh, and the turnpike is one of my favorite places to go. there is a lot of sweet cars out there besides the rice. Hey if theres this many guys around there, you all want to meet up one night at the pike and go cruising next season?

I didn't mean to live in Avon or Greenwich but to try and find parties! The ones in New Britian or Hartford would be like living there! If you find more upscale areas they are usually a little nicer, and the parties are usually better IMO!
Where does your mom teach? I go to Berlin High right now!
I wouldn't mind a meet, but the Turnpike is getting horrible! I can't even drive there without getting pulled over, it is horrible now! I used to enjoy it, but now there is too much cop watching and they won't even let you sit and eat anymore!

Tell me about it, but I still love going down there. I remember going down there and pulling on a grand national (dont ask me, the thing was 50 feet ahead of me, i heard this awful whistle and the back end of his car squatted down, my car downshifted perfectly and by the end he was only like 30 feet ahead of me (40-70 or so). But even better is I got caught stoplight racing there. I raced an 89 ish trans am to 50 and smoked him pretty bad (3 lengths to 50) and there was an undercover cop approx. 10 cars back in traffic. Got out with a $78 ticket. You guys know any other good CT cruising spots, I cant think of any others but the pike.
Not too many cruising spots, but usually there are car shows all around the state! We used to cruise over to the F.O.R.D. show in Wallingford, and then head over to the Pike at 8:00 or so, and hang out at DD (the sothern one next to Town Fair Tire) and wait for our other friends to show up and then go watch some street races they put together!
Have you ever seen an early 70's dark green Chevelle, with JE Pistons sticker in the 1/4 window, slapper bars, and more recently a 4" cowl hood? If you do, never start a race with him. He runs mid 11s and claims it goes 13s. (It says SS350, and has no cage)
What about the red GT vert with a white top, and ProCharger (Cindy's car). Most guys there know her, and know not to mess with her either!
There are others, but too many to list! They just all happen to drive the REAL cars!

I dont recall either of those cars, but give me a few years, youll see a silver striped black trans am with some drag radials that sounds like a kid is under the hood whistling, with me telling everyone my 305 has a loose belt. Now its just the "crappy running 305" act. Of course when your still only in the 14's, no one is all that surprised.
Never race a mid 11's car? Please, the faster it is all the more incentive. I love getting my doors blown off to see how fast something is.
Our favorite hobby is picking on rice down there. there is a kid that lives near me who drives a green crx, and my friend doesnt like the kid. Hes sitting there like "please man, Ill drive and eat the ticket, just blow his doors off."
You guys go to the DD where the guy likes cars near circuit city, right? We usually do lazer tag and then go to taco bell and avoid trouble as best as possible. Actually I do, I like going in other peoples cars and watch them do stupid stuff. Everyone thinks Im a disapointment because I dont race or burnout. One break getting caught racing is enough to keep me from doing it down there. That and my parents wouldnt be to happy about ANOTHER ticket. Only 2 in CT to go to traffic school, which blows.

Forgot to mention, there is a great cruise night that happens Saturday nights at Bristol Center mall when its nice out. Me and my dad go in, Ive got my 84, hes got his 454 powered 67. And every time on the way there he likes to blow my doors off. We'll see how long that lasts.
84ta ive probably seen you there. i have a black iroc-z with a fiberglass hood. i went a few times last year, but i showed up more often with my blue baja bug.
camaro71, if youre looking for chicks & parties, its uconn or nothing. ct blows for that stuff. LOTS of cars and cruises though. check out www.ctfba.com for the ct fbody assoc. the pike "cruisers" also have their own website at www.theberlinturnpike.com.
to rank the places you named:
all decent:
Manchester,CT
Vernon,CT
West Hartford, CT
South Glastonbury, CT
wouldn't park my car outside:
Hartford,CT
New Britain, CT
East Hartford, CT
for the record, i live in bristol.

lunatic, you may very well have seen me there, I only got a chance to go 3-4 times this past year due to work and school obligations.I have a black trans am with a cowl hood, silver stripes, and a motor swap. I dont recall a black IROC, did you have the one with a cracked tail light black out one night? You may have seen my fathers car too, a 67 camaro with a 454 and 396 badges. Blue with white stripes, and an interior not yet done.
yep, thats mine with the cracked blackout. some punks tried to steal my blackouts. after the first set i had were stolen (they busted up my taillights stealing them), i bolted/screwed them through the taillights. so this time when they tried they just busted the blackout.... *sighs* i havent replaced it, i figgure noone will bother ripping off a broken set...
