hi from a new member
hey how's everyone doing. i'm new to the camaro scene, i've always loved the f-bodies but don't know much about them. i figured i'd hit up the NE forum cuz i live in new jersey. I'm trying to find a 90 IROC-Z or 91-92 Z28 5.7l 350 by the end of the summer, and get rid of the 4-banger i have now.

Welcome to the boards halflife. I live in New Jersey too, but more in the middle (somerset county). I have a camaro for sale, not of the years you listed, but nice nonetheless.

i saw that Z28 you were talking about, juice. it's a maroon color, with some scratches and chips on the front bumper. I didn't see a "for sale" sign on the car, are you sure it's for sale?

I live by asbury park.... if ya drew a horrizontal line from trenton to the beach... im on the other end of that line. your south south... I go to college with someone from millville.. i think... i dunno.. lives in south jersey. Anyway... If there was a large group of 3rd gens down south, i wouldnt mind to go for a trip! As for right now the farthest south would probably be toms river. Wildwood does have a car show, and there is the TGO Nats in MD. As time goes on, more and more NJ people will show up.

I'm not south south. We've got a place in Cape May and thats an hour southeast from here. lol. Anyway, yea... does my car have to be done to attend this stuff? like shows or even just the thing in toms river this weekend? I mean, it would take some work on my part before then... but it if these gaskets go on like they should, I could make it although the car isn't done asthetically (haven't replaced headliner, seats or no repaint.) Or should I just lay low till its all done? I would like to meet some people that are dealin with the fun of restorin, or just maintainin a 3rd gen.

Hey guys, I've been on thirdgen.org for a while now but I just thought to check out this board. Is anyone interested in meeitng up at an autocross at Giant's Stadium. There is one coming up in the middle of June sometime. A good chunk of my suspension work should be done by then so I should be there driving the wheels off the car.

I hope not the 14th or the weekend of teh 20-22... 14th is the unoffical date of the new Toms River, and the 20-22 is the ThirdGen.Org Nationals in Frederick, MD. Just giving ya the heads up. I would like to see the autox in Giant Stadium, but i hope that it doesnt conflict with these dates...

The autocross I had in mind is on June 15th. Looks like the weekend of the Toms River event, but the day after. There is actually one there this sunday (May 25th). I won't be running any then but might go and hang out for a while. I do have a lot of work to do on the car so if the rain actually breaks I'll be working on it instead.

turns out i may not be getting a camaro at all. instead, a Corvette may be parked in my driveway soon...a nice 1988 Vette, to be exact. only 38,000 miles too. i need to talk to the guy who's selling it cuz there's no price on the "FOR SALE" sign. the KBB is something like $6k.
