I seen a couple of concepts going around and alot of rumors. In my opinion there is almost a need for a new camaro. Ford is bringing back the gt 500, the charger is running around(one of the most horrible designs ever), the gto is out there(the most most horrible design) and i just seen in car and driver that dodge is bringing back the challeger(badd *** looking car). The american auto industry is failing and i would love to see the big three auto companys come out and try to out muscle each as well as out price each other(another muscle car era). What do you guys think. If you would build a new camaro how much horse, what body styleing, is it even worth bringing it back?

i seen other retro concepts. I dont like that one. I dont noe it just doesnt do it for me. Ive read somewhere that its not supposed to be retro lookin but be a combo of a 70's and a first gen. The return of the camaro is goin to be very risky. The challenger looks almost 100% like the original. All they did was change the lites interior and the grill. Detriot is right around the corner. Im hopeing that it really comes out in the new york auto show so i can see it be unvieled.

 

there was a bunch of pics at another site that GM themselves took of the internet. Right there, that gives me the feelin that the camaro is on its way.

 

everyone will get to see pics of the concept as it currently sits by tuesday all over teh web. GM is displaying it at the north american internation auto show in detroit for the next two weeks.

media day is monday, so figure tuesday at the latest we will see pics of what they are calling the '09 camaro concept

 

is that a sure thing, did they say there showing a concept camaro?

the challenger looks like a 1970 wit a different grill. If dodge puts the challenger out at the mustang price which is what there trying to do(that would make that ugly charger sit on the self) the camaro has to stay with in that price range. They got an ls2 in it but you know that cant stay in there. That new cobra is going to have 475 horse and be in the low 40's and that hemi challenger(if it comes out) will have to be the same. The easyiest thing to be is get more torque in the ls7 put it in the camaro and call it the ss. Leave the z28 wit the ls1 give it 345 horse and call it a day. Im happy wit the body design. maybe change the rear lites a bit but it looks like it should. It gives an impression of strenght. Just like at it.....doesnt it look loud. They have a ferrari and a Porsche that are supposed to be in the 50 grand range and there supposed to be fast. That right there in my eyes forces all these american performance cars to be cheaper. We might have a another performance era right around the corner.

 

me and a couple of good friends of mind sat down and took a good look at it. Change the decals on the car from chevy to cadillac. I think it can passs as a caddi and that really bothers me. guys tell me if im crazy.

i think some work on the front end will do the trick, the rest of the body looks like a camaro its just that grill that throws u off
