I go a few times a year... but I usually take Black Betty. It's a nice place to hang out and shoot the breeze. Usually gotta try to be there by 5pm or so. It fills up fast.

is this usually a weekly meet?
is it at the park?
i thought they closed the park at dusk
we'd probably bring on of the cars there one night to hang out
the woodbury commons has a pretty cool italian place to eat at, we used to go there all the time

but i wouldn't be until June before we could get out, she's got classes now and grads in May, so there isn't to much free time
i also need the weather to change to get the skis, trailer, jeeps, and cars done
looking forward to that too
Saturday's Kohl's here gets a nice crowd, can't wait to head out, winter blues big time
I posted about Bear Mountain last season and no one responded to it. I definitely remember that Charger being there. They had a sign saying "85 and older" but there are 2005 Corvettes and stuff there so anything goes. Hell some stupid high school kids brought their cars in, a stock Chrysler Sebring and a Dodge Intrepid. Anyone know when this starts up again? I'd guess late May or early June.

I know of this car - it's dam beautiful. There's several Chargers in the area that hit up Bear Mt once in awhile.
There's a metallic silver '69 HEMI owned by a friend of mine, And a copper '69 HEMI 500 owned by another guy I've met.
Plus a green '69 Daytona also.

Hey guys,
Former thirdgenner here... I have a 2002 SS now, and for a few years I was going up there regularly, until last year when they closed it for 'newer' cars. If this is not the case and they are letting newer cars in again, can someone shoot me an email... I really miss cruising up there and seeing all the nice cars.
Thanks,
Mike

Here's a link to some info on Bear Mt.
Wednesday Night Car Cruise Nights listings on www.PopYourHood.com - that site has some photo sections with lots of event pics although the photag takes too many pics of older rods IMHO.
This year it'll be $2. And the rolling 20 year deal goes to '86. Not a big deal for me if I take the Charger.

May 3rd is still a month away, can't wait. I see it ends in September this year, last year it went until October 9th or so. I should remember since I broke my 10 bolt on the way back from the last show of the season.

Here is some info/clarification on Bear Mountain.
This is reposted from a thread at chirpthird.com
That is such a great event
We just finished up the entrance rules for Bear Mountain. If your car is over 1986 you can pay a $40 fee to the club and receive a Rod Benders Car Club associate member pass. This will wave the $2 parking fee and the 1986 cutoff rule and you will be able to park on the grass. You will also receive a ticket to our annual barbeque. Once you have the pass you will only be required to sign in at the gate on cruise nights.
I just added contact info to
www.PopYourHood.com
We are printing up the passes now and will be ready for the 1st cruise on May 3rd. I hope this information helps and if you all could pass it on I would appreciate it.

If this year is like last year then there isn't anyone that regulates who gets in and who doesn't. There were MANY late model cars there last year, not to mention some dumb *** kids who would show up in Sebrings and Intrepids and just wanted to park in the lawn.
