Re: PIttsburgh
Nobody had cut an access panel into the floor on mine. I had to remove half of the rear suspension and the exhaust to drop the tank. I didn't have enough cash at the time for a bigger pump so I just put in the stock replacement. If I ever decide to add nitrous I'll have to upgrade.
Re: PIttsburgh
soccer don't know of anyone but i'll have a look out for u...chris said hi....hotrod if i have to put in a fuel pump can i put a bigger one in my stock 350..also going to cut a door in to much of a hassle to drop tank..or was it easy

Re: PIttsburgh
There are several aftermarket pumps that are better than stock but will go in the stock location. You might want to replace the fuel pressure regulator with an aftermarket one as well. That way you can adjust the pressure if needed. The tank was somewhat easy for me but I did it at the bus garage I work at. I was able to get the back of the car very high and remove the tires, shocks, sway bar, panhard bar, and torque arm, and lower the rear axle as low as possible. After that is wasnt too bad. It would have been easier if I had someone to help. If you cut an opening, be careful of lines and make it big enought. You have to move the pump assembly around to clear the float to get it out.

Hey guys, this is going to sound a little silly but-
How long can you drive your cars in winter?
I'm moving to Pitts from Florida to work for Heinz.
What are the good forums/clubs?
Where would/ woudln't you recommend living in Pitts? Heinz is in Warrendale, I'd like somewhere around there.
Thanks for the help!

Re: PIttsburgh
Go to Pittspeed.com....thats pretty much the only general car forum around the pittsburgh area. Ask them about living in the area. i dont have much experience with that
As far as winter driving, i store my car from december 1 to March 1, but sometimes its very nice during december... like sunny and 40-50 degrees!. even in january there has been nice days. its late january and february that kills! snow and very cold usually

You should come anyway, even if you dont run your car. It will probably be a good time. Youre welcome to ride with me. Kurt will probably ride along as well.

Re: PIttsburgh
where u located? fuel pump isnt all that bad. some like to do the trap door trick but requires some cutting and then you have to seal it up good. fuel regulator sucks if its TPI i think you'll have to take plenum and runners off which means valve covers come off and if you still have emissions stuff/etc you have to move all that out the way. easy but a pain in the ***

Re: PIttsburgh
Hey guys, just spent my first week here and DAMN, its COLD! I live near North Street (the good part, not that no-so-awesome area). I have an excellent view of the city and some HD channels and the sports package. Anytime any of you would like to drop by to watch the game and drink some beers, I'm good for it.
I also checked out Saddle Ridge last night, I really had a good time, even though I didn't know a soul. Do you guys ever meet up for anything other than repairs?
In other news, I still have the T/A out at the moment but I'm looking for a beater, I ran across a 2.8l but it didn't run quite as decently as I'd like it to.
Anyone have anything under a grand they want to sell me?

Well. even if it wasnt winter, i couldnt make it for a few weeks i would think. I just finally got my baby running today! First time shes moved since somtime in 04! (04 tags)
But she runs and moves, so if anyone sets somthing up, Ill be there. If not in my baby, then ill just take out the fox-body.

I should be there. Nice burnout. Might have to take mine out tonight to do the same. I did the first donuts in my new truck last night. I like it.
