Loooking for long islander to fix car. TOP PAY!!

hey guys i got an 88 iroc-z here is the problem:

a friend of myne had a camaro that has been sitting for 3 years. before it ran perfect, until 1 day the fuel pump relay went, and melted the wires, and also the
coolant fan relay did the same. im not sure why it did this or what happend. i replaced both relays and wires. did the western union splicing and then solderd them
together. i had syphoned the gas out the tank, put in techtron and 2 gallons of new gas, new fuel filter
the car starts when i put in sum starter fluid, once it burns off it dies, if i dont put in starter fluid it takes like 10 secs to turn over and then dies.
i really dont know what to do. i changed oil, and filter. what can be the problem? i have a V8 305 TBI

Pull one of the injector plugs and put a test light with a wire into the plug and see if theres any power.

Yes, you can also use a DVM. But a test light is better assuming you're checking this by yourself. (You can see the light from inside the car. I dont remember colors off hand, but if you pull one of the plugs off and connect a test light to each side you can see if theres power going to it. Injectors pulse, so the light would flicker real fast if there is power going to it.

take the cap of the fuel rail and see if there is pressure in there or fuel at all inthere...can you hear the pump prime when you turn the key on?

Is there any fuel being sprayed out of the injectors? Check your Ignition Module under the distributor cap. Theres a pickup coil there that sends a signal to the ECM to control injector pulse.

HOw does the plug get 25 volts? Can anyone clarify that?
