Actually, I've seen just the opposite. Firebirds have a better resale value due to their higher sticker price and the fact that they're are "one rung up" the gm ladder verses chevy.

I agree, I think I see Camaros go for more usually.

depends, I see a lot more beat up birds, but good condition vs. good condition I think they are about equal

Not as far as price, but I do agree with birds being "one rung up" from chevy's, Im not saying a bird is better then a camaro, but I think GM puts more work into designing a pontiac, they are more aerodynamic, better interiors, sometimes better performance or packages

examples:

Cavalier-Sunfire

Camaro Firebird
______ ______
Pace Car
RS S/C
z28 Trans Am
Iroc GTA
B4c (*) TTA
TTA Pace Car
Firehawk
Recarro (might have been camaro too, I dont know)

WonderBar Better Seats (Opinion)
Better Designed Dash (Opinion)
Digital Dash
BBS Rims

the above doesnt come out rite,,,let me work on it and re-post

What are you opinions, Im not saying Pontiac is better then chevy, I love camaros as much, I just think GM went more "refined" with pontiac.

More people like Chevrolet than Pontiac and the Camaro more than the Firebird. Thats why I think I see them go for more no matter the options.

camaros are usually priced lower, that's the main reason they sell more. Chevy is the "plain" brand, the bread & butter of GM. The other brands are upscaled to certain deegrees. Pontiac is the "performance orientated" brand, or used to be. Cadillac, is well, Cadilac. Olds & Buick were roughly the same, so they killed off the oldest company in GM . Maybe because the 3800 is tht much better than the 307

I do think camaros look meaner than firebirds, & the birds look slicker. I think the 4th gens camaros went away from the 3rd gen way of thought, and looked more like the firebirds, & the 4th gen firebirds were just the next step in evolution.

I think chevy's baby is and most likely will always be that badboy the corvette. And the TA's were pontiacs baby before they slit its throat. Now pontiac is trying to push the lil sedans like the Grand Prixs which are pretty fast, but still doesn't look or act like a real sports car with rear wheel drive. And now there freeking putting ram air hoods on sunfire's, give me a break, just give anorther incentive to having unexperinced drivers making them a deathmobile. Plus those sedans depreciate so quickly, where as realy sports cars go down real slowly because they last forever.

Camaros look like a muscle car, but firebirds look faster and cooler in my opinion, com on what was knight rider. And I think the firebirds are a much better chick magnet.
