Friday Night
Friday Night
I enjoyed the first friday night meet I went to when I first became a part of the Norcal thridgen club and I was just wondering if anyone wanted to have a small friday night meet sometime? Just to cruise around and what not! Let me know what your guys' plans are and if anyone's interested in having a little friday night gtg.

no actually i called autozone because mcquay norris doesnt make that bushing.
and whoever autozone goes through doesnt make it as well, they only had the energy suspension listed.

Sorry folks, no meetin' on weeknights for me, at least this month.
I get off real late at my new job.
Hopefully in June I'll promote to something else and will have a night life again.

We will miss you Del. If you don't mind me asking what do you do now for work? I know you were working for the county or state I thought. Anyway, hope to see you out soon when you get the chance.

I worked for Corrections, now for the Dept. of Justice.
Should be bouncing to a different level in the department by months end and I'll be free again.
Good weather is coming and I do enjoy a good cruise/gtg on a Fri/Sat. night, especially with the possibility of some safe street racing.

Sweet, nothing wrong with moving around, especially with the state. Glad to hear you will be free in a month or so. Safe street racing sounds good to me when the weather gets better and we start meeting again on the weekends.

I'll race you Robby.
cross_fire3, we usually meet at In&Out on Sunrise Blvd. off hwy 50 on Friday or Saturday nights. Are those good times for you? Would love to have you come and hang out, also like to meet another person with a cross-fire car, this way we can race.

No problem, I can show you what I have and help you out as much as possible. Nothing wrong with fixing looks first, wish I would have done the same. Had no choice though because after I bought my car the engine and tranny, etc. took a crap. Anyway, hope to see you around sometime.

I'd rather have her run sweet than look sweet.
From 20 ft you can never tell my 'ROC was T-Boned, I'll fix the one ding left eventually...
Is there going to be a date for this meet up or is this just like whenever, hope to see you :lala: stuff

No date for this meet. It's really not a meet, just a gtg. Every summer on the weekends we try to plan gtg's whenever it's good timing for everyone. They kind of just happen and are sometimes short notice, don't worry, we will start talking about a specific day sometime soon when it's good for everyone.
Yeah, I'm sure we'll get a better idea on some dates for gtg's in a month or so. I really am trying to get my bro to come out to the meets. He's a little more interested now that he cleaned up his interior a bit with some 4th gen seats out a '99T/a. They are pretty nice, 800 $ though yikes. I think he'll come to one eventually! Let's see what should be my next mod? I was thinking headers, but I would need to get a new y-pipe i would think cause the stock one would bottle neck my exhaust. My bro(aaron) got the wrong style headers for his afr heads, and he will sell them to me for 400 (dual cats, and 1 3/4 ceramic coated headers). Must go faster!

SLP's are better and the edelbrokes are ok but I heard the best deal are the hookers just as good as the SLP's but half the cost, I think their $350 or somewhere around that range
most of the headers come with a y-pipe SLP, hooker, hedman, edelbroke

I vote for going for the headers upgrade Robby. That's next on my list also as I know it's holding my car up from it's max potential, thirdgen's are choked by the stock exhaust.

SLP - 1 3/4 I think are the best, too expensive, might not be smog legal in CA.
I was going to get their 5/8 ones because I like SLP products and have a few already, but I got a good deal on my Hooker headers, and they came with the y-pipe.
No matter what brand you choose, If you care about how they look, make sure you get them coated.
Mine look great going on 2 years.
Edelbrock makes good stuff too, I have their 'runners.
Man the weather is going to be getting nice quick. ..
Who's down to cruise/race next Sat. night?

Yeah,Hookers are what I was going to get for the t/a but they were pricey.I know a set of headers will give you a noticable difference in power.

I bet you don't fair too badly as some of those are 16 sec cars depending on year.

can you run dual cats on a single cat car? Reason is the parts I am/want to get have a 3 inch y-pipe, but it's welded to dual cats? Is that legal to put those on my single cat car?
Hey terrel, as long as you bring something slower than low-mid 16's I'm good for cruising. Actually the car has felt a little better after we've rebuilt the top end and replaced a few things. With a good launch you never know I could be at a 16.1, so watch out.

yeah you can go dual cat 'cause it came on the later thirdgens but if you have a dual cat car you can't go single
yeah its an '86 300zx non turbo, they say it's good for about 140rwhp and 160rwtq(with a good running engine)and mid 16's in the 1320 but who knows. I'm sure I would lose to just about everyone unless we go from a roll. the little 3.0L doesn't produce much torque so any V8 would rip me a new one off the line.
damn!!! now I wanna
it

alright so saturday:
5/14 ?
5/21 ?
either one is fine with me, hoping the weather stays good, though it always wants to get in the way! Anyone interested in meeting in a different location....say more towards rocklin just to mix it up a bit? It's near douglas and the beginning of sunrise, and it's a bit more spread out than around sac-town, possibility?
Plus I know the roads around roseville better than hazel, manzanita, greenback, fairoaks, etc.

I vote for 5-21 also. New place to meet sounds good to me, In&Out sucks and is crowded and draws way too much attention. That Mels Diner on Douglas was a nice place the few times we have been there. The back parking lot is nice and quiet, large enough, and we never got bothered there so far.

well the ecm is still giving me the code for it, but the cars runs okay. That'd be great if I could try it out to see if there's still a code or not. Thanks.
the date is still planned for 5-21 right?

I won't be down for the mini gtg's so we can try it when I see you again.Sometimes,I wish I lived down there so I had something to do once in awhile. The only car guys up here are really old and have expensive cars or are ricers
Ugly ones at that. There's one guy up here with 13 inch spinner hub caps and a shaker scoop taped on to the hood and a (looks like home made wing)on the back of his civic.
