"Nice Car"
ok so it may be a small thing but it totally made my day (I just recently got the car...).
Driving back from Burger King (with my lunch), a Focus pulls up next to me and rolls down the window and says "nice car!"
I'm totally not used to stuff like that. :P But it made my day...I smiled, waved and said "thanks!"
Anyways, just thought I'd share that...not bad for a 20yr old car that needs a lot of lovin ^_^
(BTW: hi from Spokane, WA)

I dig seeing thirdgen's on the road. Doesn'teven matter what condition they're in -- I'm staring. Always wonderin' do I know him/her ? does it look stock ? whats it's sound like ?
A complementary nod of the head always seems to get the idea across. You should see some of the looks I get giving the thumbs-up to beat-up thirdgens in an red 2000 'vette. lol.
Sweet ride BTW. Love the hood.

You're in Spokane eh? I'm in Post falls, I'll have to watch for your car whenever I'm over there... That would be cool.

Don't mind Porky or Traviz, they were abused as kids.
Welcome to the boards. That's a nice t/a.Does it have the l69( high output motor),I believe the 8th letter, number in the vin would be g if it is and the letter h if it isn't.

(feels fast too but then again, that's probably 'cause it's my first V8...before that I drove mostly the Chrysler Minivan my family has (with a 3.8L V6 rice eater...nothing so satisfying than pwning a ***** at the light...with a minivan ^_^)I'm still learning a lot about cars and everything about them (I'm a computer guy by trade). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you are looking for a good upgrade in power,I had the same year t/a with the same motor and 5 speed and I put in a new cam, edelbrock performer intake and a 600 cfm electric choke edelbrock carb,Accel distributer and it really woke it up.Add some 3.42 gears and you'll be satisfied. It was faster han my 87 t/a and my mustang.

There is a couple car clubs out in this area that you can join with help. Now I am not a Cascade crew person but they are a pretty good bunch of kids you could also come over to
here & ask some questions.

Nah, nothing to do with the car you drive - they want thier own regional board, and so far - for whatever reasons the site admins have - it ain't happenin'.
So they're taking it upon themselves to be rude and make people not wanna post here in an attempt to 'own' this board.

I mean it doesnt cost but a $100 or so for two years for web service & it doesnt take a mathquiz to do it.
My husband did it with both our club's website & adding a forum plus lots of other goodies & our personal website. & he is a AirCraft Mech in the Air Force Reserves.

I am so easily amused...while driving around, I had two, that's right...two girls look straight at me and smile or wave.
The first one was in a car seat...looked about 4, maybe 3. I looked over and there she was staring straight at me. I smiled and she smiled back.
Second incident, driving down sprague, I'm behind a slightly older white blazer. There's a teenager in the back seat, again staring straight at me (I was looking elsewhere, when I looked up I saw her smiling and noding her head). I smile at her and chuckle. Before the light turns green, another white firebird (early 90's model, similar to mine but newer with body molding and such), pulls up. The girl points it out to the driver, who looked to be her mom (I think?).
So yeah...I found those two incidents highly amusing.
I feel like spluging today so I'm gonna fill up with premium and see how the car runs with that. *grin*
---------------
dang, I'm still not used to that kind of attention...even if one of the girls was only 4 max. :P (hey! she has good taste at that age
)

also, i haven't been on the boards much for the past year or so. i was surprised to see the drama about the regional boards. the bottom line is that these aren't our boards. someone else is providing them for us. they are in no way obligated to cater to anyones desires. i've met most of the cali guys involved and have enjoyed spending time with them at various meets... good kids.
we're all here for the same basic reason: our love for these cars. the oregon and washington folks have my full support (as if that's worth much).
codemonk84, for some reason, the pics posted in jun don't show up for me...
are there more recent pics? i've had similar situations. on one such occasion, a couple of teenaged girls smiled and waved at me at an intersection. i felt totally embarrased... i'm 38.
