vin just left my house, he'll be home pretty quick. Wait till you see what we found in his gas tank LOL

I don't have the foggiest clue what it is, but it sure as hell didn't belong there. Vin thinks we solved a murder lol

Me and Tony found the stock pulsator and what looks to be a prison shank (murder weapon), Capt. Hook's arm or some broken tool

Glad to hear the box is working out for you bro!

Just find me another one that's painted already

Did you put in those adapters too? PIC!

That was the klang klang noises.

When we emptied the tank to put it back up, the noise was really evident and I reached in and found some surprises.

I found those two things, the rest of that broken float, I also thought some weapons of mass destruction or Osama Bin Laden was going to pop out of there too fawk-n-a.

Check out me and Tony's idea for draining the tank since my dumba$$ has 4 motors in my garage but not one clean bucket

Yes those are my black and red Chuck Taylor's and yes they're all funked up. I was hoping my leg would melt off like the Slurpee cup.

flat taps wear alot more than roller and have a strong chance to go flat on break in where rollers do not and are better for high hp motors. anyway heres the brodix heads that are going on

I already gave the 4 best guesses bro, prison shank / broken tool / Capt. Hook's arm & a murder weapon.

No need to send $100 let's just go grab another burger in the hell camino

My security system is the "shizzle fo rizzle", but the owner is always the best security

I miss my 870

Ah the black beast is still making low fuel PSI.

I cleaned the Fuel pump relay up, didn't do anything.

I am going to do that pinch the return line test to check psi again tomorrow, been a busy few days.

Yeah, vin, I have a feeling that pressure will return to 30ish PSI with that line dead-headed. If it does, at least the fix isn't all that hard and your "new" pump is good! Did you check any of the voltage?

Ok here's the scoop:

Battery is making 12.2V.

The White terminal on the fuel pump (when jumpered) makes 11.5V

The middle (Purple) makes ~8V jumpered or not.

The black terminal makes 0 (ground)

Key On the car still makes ~10-12 PSI.

The first time I "dead-headed" the pump, I got it to jump to about 22-25 PSI, but then I tried it again and again and it would only creep up a couple of pounds from 10.

I'm thinking this fuel pump is just as bad as the one I pulled.

Maybe?

I don't know.

What does the white terminal make when it's not jumpered?

Where did you check the fuel pressure at? Did you try to start the car with it at 25 psi? Was that with the key on or not? Pump hotwired or not?

White terminal when not jumpered, just key-on makes 0 V, actually negative 0.02V if I remember.

I checked PSI at the rails.

Tried to start car without pump hotwired and it still wont start. I just ran 12V to that ALDL lower left terminal, I didn't truly "hotwire" it.

Okay. hotwire the pump, block off the return line and check the pressure at the fuel filter. Let me know what you find. By checking pressure at the rails you're still going through the fuel pressure regulator, which I think might be the problem. You will have to check the pressure back at the tank to figure out if it's the regulator that's going bad, or the pump.

I think we've established that power isn't a problem, that's good. You can try wiring the ALDL terminal first, but if your results are the same, then you'll have to try truly hotwiring it. Make sure to get a probe with a resister that won't go over 12 volts, or you'll burn something up.

And negative on dropping that tank again.. if it's the pump I'll bring a damn SAWZALL!!

But once you do what I suggested above, you'll know your problem. If you have pressure, it's the FPR. If you don't, it's the pump.

Then...

Sweet! Thanks bro

I'll fiddle with this thing tomorrow some more. I'll check the pump output at the filter before I give good 'ol urban a call, but it's either the regulator or the pump I put back in my tank wasn't much better than the one I removed.

Eric, I know bro, I suck and I should have been driving my car weeks ago but **** happens. If my old motor wouldn't have gone knock knock I probably would still be running that and the stock TPI

Can I file for unemployment now that I'm fired?

N/P bro. Thanks for checking / offering either way.

I thought you told me you were still running the TPI setup.

And also especially since when I spoke with the Holley representative he said it was a "special order" item.

Either way I'll mess with it tomorrow and get the parts ordered up on Mon. and hopefully not miss the 16th or I will probably hide in complete shame
