I've seen the light, and I'll never look back.

I did them all at the same time.

the first day I didn't feel much difference just driving it around. But once it got late I was out messing around on some backroads behind some factories out here, and it feels WAY tighter when you start digging into corners hard. The front end bites incredibly now, and it feels way more solid and controllable.

When I brake the tires loose around a corner at speed, the slide feels controllable and predictable, where before it felt a bit soft and forgiving in comparison, like you were on the edge of control the whole time.

I've had it on about two weeks now, maybe three.

Just three days ago I took it to my sisters house up in the mountains. Very twisty, some hairy curves, but all decently smooth road.

Wow.

The feel of the car made me horny. lol

It pushed the boundaries of the car in a corner way farther. I've been staring at these Alston sub frames next to me for a week too. They are screaming "install me".

Then I'm doing the beefiest rear swaybar w/poly I can find, panhard, 3-point STB, and Shocks all around. I'm gonna reinforce the track bar tommorow, box it up if I can, and check everything out, the rear end feels squeamish on rough roads (especially freeway, but I think thats the shocks) and on recovery when it's broken loose (which I think is the panhard and trackbar). I also have 1LE endlinks to go in the rear. while I'm back there, screw it, I gotta do my rearend and tranny oil anyways.

I'm addicted. After shocks, new seats and external appearance stuff (z28 grill, foglights, strip and polish the rims and rear brake lights, cheap paint to hold it off for a couple years). all done by the end of next summer. I want to freshen and dress a motor over next winter for it, so I can install it in a freshly painted black engine bay in spring, and have it dialed in and running good and reliably by summer after next.

I'd like to start dumping money now, but I need so much for it to keep it in good working order, I need to drop cash for a daily driver, and we're trying to move back to Sac. Once I get a non cracked nose piece and some cheap paint on it

I'm pissed that I need tires, front rotors, shocks (I actually don't mind doing these), rear shoes, oil & filter, air filter, new tranny oil, diff oil, have to fab up a trans mount (this one's getting loose and it's all tight under there, 200 dollar mount on a wierdo crossmember), and new t-tops before winter comes hard (small crack and drip rail damaged on the crappy looking lexans). It's so much lil stuff adding up.

All these neccesities are holding back parts purchases.

This is my mission statement. lol

lol

my lazy *** has to get out to a meet sometime, but my car is shameful right now... it's needs body work and paint.

the passenger fender was a little messed up when i got it, then i made it even worse when backin out of my driveway.

then i blew out a tire on the freeway on the drivers side, and it messed the fender up right in front of the door... ground fx all hanging loose now too...

got my front rotors and new pads on, new shoes out back, and put a headliner in. new hatch and hood struts (no more baseball bats, yay)

I need to fix my third brakelight and front passenger blinker along with passenger side marker. and do a total tuneup along with complete drivetrain fluid change... then i think i'm in the running for new back tires and shocks.
