if they are running stock ecm from the donor car their would be no tuning issues besides being factory tune and that is enough for 13's

I was waiting for this thread. Stop beating on her travis, or she's gonna blow a rod through the side of the block, punch a hole in your front quarter panel and hit someone walking on the street, bust their leg in half and come to a rest next to them as they die a bloody death..

okay well maybe a little melodramatic, but the point remains..

i wasn't aware you could use sa rockers with guide plates.
i thought it was one or the other.

what's in your setup again travis?
didnt you get all new springs/rockers etc?
and what part # pushrods did you buy, did you need a special length?

you cant, and its redundant....

self aligning rocker arms have .60 in play, nsa have .20in play, the guideplates do most of the work its possible to work but it will end up like travizzz rod, broken.

you think having more power will break it??? no,,

the pushrod will have the same geometry and pressure as it does with 100hp, or 400hp, the valvetrain goes unchanged when you change a computer chip.....

play has nothing to do with it the reason it's not recommended is, most of the time people use stock push rods and they are not hard enough so the push rods would rub against the guide plates and would wear down and will brake over time.

as for the play if NSA has .20 of play, you would basically never really rely on the SA

Travis, despite the problem you had with the pushrod you have to be encouraged about what kind of gains you got with just a new chip.

Am I right?
