Met a cool dude today

Someone came into kragens today asking for hood and hatch struts for his 89 iroc-z

i perked up an eyebrow and started to enquire him about it, he says he picked it up a while back, something like 15k original miles, immaculate condition, i asked him to drive it over sometime and he had that attitude that he doesnt want to drive it.

bone stock, black, perfect from what he described. i gave him the address here, he seemed interested, lets hope he introduces himself with pics!

I was about to buy a high quality set from TDS for $50.
Pretty sure Kragen charges the same price for whatever brand there's is.
Good to know they work though.
If I ever change my heavy spoiler, I'll get a nice set of trunk shocks that might actually make the trunk pop upwards.

They're probably like $40-50 each, damn things are usually expensive.
Unless Travis/Eric can get the homey hookup.

I love it when the hatch struts are about half dead, when they hold the hatch up for like 1 - 2 minutes and then come crashing down on your head when you think it's safe.

Just like mine

At least my hood struts work great!

harbor freight has vise grips cheap, problem solved. Pick up some duct tape and repair advise from the local tweeks and your car should stay running for weeks at least!
