Hah. I knew this was going to happen. On the real though I been offered 7 before even 8k. I mean if you don't want to buy it or going to bash, I think you should MOVE ON. It's real simple. And no I will not be getting a 4th gen. I've had one before and I wasn't happy with it. Real funny how someone selling something starts a thread of crap.

The car has 166k on it. I don't know why I put 173k. LOL. I guess its been that long since I drove it. Not a huge difference in miles. Thought I correct myself.

Why don't you send an email to Dirk along with a nomination for moderator for the west forum. We got nothing although I'm not sure we need one.

I guess this marks the end of your third gen dot org involvement, no?

Might as well make one of us a mod seeing that we post on here so frequently.
Not sure what the benefit of being one is besides closing a thread when needed.

oh and to stay on topic. ..
i'm sure there is a nice amount of $ invested, and the exterior is nice, but i'd say lucky to get 5K for her.
when were you offered 7-8 for it? 2001?

i guess i've had some nice offers in the past 3 years or so, but I can't imagine asking 8K for mine, even though i've invested more.

it's a great looking car that Borla has (why do you have that username anyway?), but even 5K is generous.
motor has got to be worn out by now with those miles.
why would anyone want to invest 8K only to invest more soon.
8K for a third gen usually implies it's in excellent, low mi. condition or rare.

i for one am sorry your feelings were hurt, borla. i'm sure you're a nice guy with a nice car. however, there's a huge difference between being offered an outrageous price and actually collecting on it. personally, i think it takes some gall to publish an ad like that... hence my comments. bottom line is, they are my comments, i stand by them, and i'll move on when i'm good and ready.

perhaps your intent was just to give yourself some room for negotiating, in which case i'd say you were quite successful. really though, good luck with your sale. i hope you get what it's worth.

I can think of a dozen reasons why we need a moderator. At the same time, we are at a size where it's not a big deal. A few more members of the West forum show up and I think it's a requirement.

Hey... this is what I do for a living, remember?

I didn't think it was a thread of crap, and it did it's job quite well in fact, it lured you out of a long hibernation

hah...this thread isn't even tech anymore. lol. I was offered this past September after I got it detailed. And how much you would ask. 7k. YES 7. 8k was back in 01 from an elderly guy.

And why this username. I've always like Corvettes. Just didn't like financing at the time.
