hey guys i got new third gen

i got a 1986 berlinetta camaro it is 4 way disc all power every thing. the car only has 24000 miles. sum lady down the street parked it because the breaks went out on it. i was working on my other 1 she walks up and starts talking to be about it and says she is moving and wants to know if i want it. i was hell ya. she is the original owner. her and her husband ordered it and made it a berlinetta instead of a z28 for cheaper insurance. has a 4 barrel carb 10 bolt disc posi. so we got it Tuesday night then me and my dad were messing with it and then put a battery it and was like hell it is not going to run then we turned it over and it ran idle really nice bout 800. the ac still works and every the only thing wrong with it is the tape deck o well. it needs body work but hey i do that for a living. pics will be up tomorrow or Sunday I'm so happy right now any body give me sum info on them. it has a 5.0 h0 motor it says it has 190 hp and like 230 something of tq. this car is going to be a Lil sleeper. i also got a set of c4 breaks which are going to get put on it as soon as i get it transfered over. pics will be up soon any 1 who knows any thing plz help out and tell me Ty

check the rear end, and see if it has a set of rear swaybars, if not, go to the jyard and pick up a matching set, makes the berlys handle SO much better.

price $$$ and insurance....

Wow, you got first 'dibs' on it; Hopefully she was realistic about a non-running camaro???
I also am surprised that the berlinetta had cheaper insurance rates; I thought that was only connected to ones with the smaller engines.

What was the package difference that set the berlinetta's apart from the Z28's??? I think my last berlinetta (which was a 1978) had everything on it except for the fender louvers; it was loaded with everything including the 350 4 barrel engine. Heck, almost forgot about those suppresive smog equipment days.....

If it never had a rear bar, you have to drill the holes, no big deal...At least that is how mine was there were no holes for the brackets...It made a HUGE difference in the way my car drove, more so than anything else I did to it...My Berlinetta was like a girls cars when I got it...It had all the options for comfort, hell even a rear wiper, defroster, 6 way seats, the most hideous zebra interior, t-tops.. etc....Soft ride, all that crap..I turned it in to a real sleeper car...Loved the coupe look to, if done right it can be very clean....
