Re: Cherry Spotted

I guess that's one way to keep the prices low.

I think they are appreciating finally. Maybe just a touch...

You can't tell me a supercharger wouldn't be fun.

Re: Cherry Spotted

nope, not saying it wouldn't be fun. Just saying I wouldn't pay over 3000 dollars for a m*llet (can't believe they edited that word out) unless it came with a 12 bolt/9" AND a th350/400/glide

Re: Cherry Spotted

I see what you are saying. You like a tranny and diff package.

I like an induction and interior.

Re: Cherry Spotted

I dont get it about buying a m*llet?

The guy with the GTA is asking 8.5K and said he has over 15K in receipts, dont know if running an FMU and maxing out 24's is the best way to go (Instead of getting bigger injectors and then tuning for them, I dont know alot about blower programing)

Re: Cherry Spotted

the FMU increases fuel pressure as boost increase. thosae usually come with the SC kits for TPI's, don't think the ECM is smart enough to be tuned for boost like the LT1/LS1's can. I think even some of the LT1/LS1 kit come with a FMU also

Re: Cherry Spotted

the guy told me that the he had a programmer back east do several chips for him, stating that the chip maxes out the pulse width at 3000 rpm's and then the fmu just pushes as much fuel as needed through the injectors, doesnt seem to be the best way though, but dont really know.

Re: Cherry Spotted

It's not the "best" way, but it's sufficient.

Too bad he has an old school Paxton blower on it.
They aren't worth that much and the gains aren't anywhere near a Vortech or ProCharger.

Re: Cherry Spotted

Ball bearing design that is prone to fail and need rebuilds.
Probably generates a lot of heat as well.
They are early 90's technology at its finest.

I know you're looking for a steal that has a lot of work done to it already Cam, but I'm sure you can find a better choice.

Did you ever finish your thread off with what hapd with your claim?
