Re: over heat
Start with the obvious and cheap 1st. Is it possible you have an air pocket(s) in the coolant? Is there enough coolant? Is your water pump/ thermostat working? Where did it run temp. wise before? Was it a 350 to 350 swap, or did you have a smaller motor before? My 3rd gen Camaros have always ran warmer than I liked. I bought a 3"cowl induction hood from Harwood, a 185 thermostat, removed the A/C condensor from infront of the radiator, put a Griffin 3row alum. radiator in, and had both my fans programmed to come on at about 190 degrees. On a cold night, the needle almost rests at the bottom of the temp gauge. Is the little air dam below the car intact? Anything blocking the radiator?

Re: over heat
Do you have 1 or 2 fans. When do they come on. Do you over heat on the freeway as well as in town? Are you carbed or injected? Your radiator may be undersized for the extra motor. When was the last time you had it(radiator) serviced/flushed? My previous Z/28 always ran warm in the summer, but with the mods I've done to the IROC, she's fine. You may want to check if your to rich. Where's the smoke at or coming from?

Re: over heat
Well if your fan(s) don't work, you'll overheat in town. Did you have any overheating problems before the swap? Is it an electric fan?

Re: over heat
Is there power(electric) or drive(if manual) to the fan? Find out why your fan isn't working. Then, when that's fixed, let us know if you still overheat. My fans come on around 190 deg. My thermo is set for 185-190 deg. Any pics of your cars underhood will help.

Re: over heat
If you can afford it duals are always better IMO. There are some after market companies out there that may have a better single electric fan than the one you have. Remember, if you don't have an electric one now, you'll need to wire it. I'd also recommend pulling the radiator and having it flushed. I replaced mine with a 3 row Griffin. Also replace that thermostat. Did you get a new water pump when you replaced the motor? If your fan(s), water pump, radiator, thermo work, and your system is sealed, we can move on from there. Also, when you pull the radiator, check for debris between your a/c components and radiator. Get pics up of entire engine bay. Also a shot of the front of the motor from different angles.
