My List for '09
Dang thing has grown!
All this totals to around 4 thousand bucks if I do it right and/or have a mechanic do it for me.
Maybe an engine swap would be a better expenditure of cash.
- Front struts, balance, align
- Front end bushings: I ordered the Energy Suspension kit from Summit for 100 bucks.
- Rear axle - This includes a bunch of little projects like replacing the rear pads, e-brake cable, service diff, etc...
- Master Cylinder - Need a new prop valve now because the old one is bad and the new rear axle requires a different one anyway.
- Paint: Do it right this time.
- Interior - Still on the look out for that reasonable, tan leather interior from a 3rd or 4th Gen.
All this totals to around 4 thousand bucks if I do it right and/or have a mechanic do it for me.
Maybe an engine swap would be a better expenditure of cash.

The only expensive thing on that list is the paint! You should get tan interior from a 5th gen!

Re: My List for '09
Here is my '08-'09 to-do list. Apparently I am doing a complete frame off restomod on my 1991 Formula since this is a lot of crap...
Interior:
Dash pad
Carpet
New clean looking seats without boy racer wannabe look
Fuel pump access door
New headliner (ABS?)
Repair/replace center console due to bulging sides
Clean up wiring to speedo conversion box in console, install connector for easier console removal
Replace lower shift boot
Exterior:
Address stress cracks in roof
Fix crack/dents in drivers door or replace door
Replace door hinge bushings
Fix chips/scratches in spoiler
Fix rust on a-pillar, left rear quarter, rear decklid
Repair scratches in front bumper cover
New passenger front fender/eliminate antenna hole
Clean underside of car and possibly coat (POR-15?)
Design new wheelwell liners for cleaner look, better tire clearance, and brake cooling duct capability
Have Fiskse outer wheel halves replaced and refinish centers
New tires
Paint
Tint
Suspension/Brakes:
Buy panhard bar with rod ends for Moser rear
LCA relocation brackets
Finish brake brackets for rear PBR brakes
Adjustable brake proportioning valve
Upgrade shocks - Koni or Tokico?
Adjustable torque arm(?)
Design better exhaust hanger for cat section and rear section of exhaust
Clean up spindles and hubs
Wider front wheel adapters for wider track
Drivetrain:
3" Chromoly driveshaft
I think I can do it all for a reasonable cost.

My '08 goal? Have the car painted, interior all done and have my motor at the very least be very reliable.

My list is get the car running at hit 12's first time out.
Mike get your car back? We still need to look it all over to find out what we need to do to get the rear end in there.

Re: My List for '09
12's on your first time? I'm guessing that'll be easy.
Yeah. Thousand bucks later I got it back and it rides great. I just need that new MC in sooner rather than later. The brakes are still the weak part in the drive. Parents-in-law in town this weekend but I might could do a quick, early morning.
Here's the list of parts I have now:

EDIT: Updating the list:

Here's the list of parts I have now:
- Axle with disks and hard lines. Might need to replace the pads (don't have) and inspect the rotors.
- 9-bolt diff cover gasket. I want to change the fluid. Need some royal purple or something.
- E-brake cable. One on there now will not work.
- Master Cylinder and prop valve.

EDIT: Updating the list:
- eBrake cables: The ones that attach to the center cabel and actually actuate the caliper.
- GM Posi Additive, Mobile 1 synth diff oil (75/90W) X2
- Brake pads
- Idler arm

Re: My List for '09
Mike,
Great to see you this morning. Let me know when the parts should show up. I am sure we can do it in half a day. The swap will be easy, as long as nothing comes up part wise.
We can look at the suspension. I'll get that thing to drive like new. People just don't know what to look at. Your brakes are fine. Somthing in the suspension is worn out.
----------
As long as I don't miss a shift. 12 should be easy.
