I highly doubt it only has 30k..., but I talked to the guy I just have no way of testing the posi...besides I dont even know how I would test it or ask him to test it. Thanks.
I have one other one im looking at from ruqwik..so i hope something falls through

Re: What ur advice on this?
turning one wheel should turn the other wheel opposite directions, but with a quick jerk, the wheels should lock and both turn the same direction, I think its something like 15ft-lbs torque to get them to lock.

Ok thanks. See thats why i asked for your guys advice....What about ru-qwik from this site?...he has a 10 bolt auburn pro series posi 3.73. Says it has 2500 miles since rebuild. Anyone know anything about this one. Im figuring 200 should be worth it. Im almost scared that 3.73 will be overkill.

Re: What ur advice on this?

Seriously though, my car is my DD, so I probably wouldn't go over 3.42 for gas mileage.

not overkill for your combo IMO, just depends if you can tolerate the rpm's in overdrive or not

Re: What ur advice on this?
Thank you sir !!
I have only ever had one deal go bad on something I sold, won't go into any details, but even still, it wasn't bad...
I had this rear in a 92' Z28 , 383ci. built 700r4 and it ran great. I did not think the RPM's were bad on the freeway, don't recall what they were, but it wasn't bad. My 68' Chevelle with a 396ci. th350 and 4:11 , that was bad !! I have a 355ci TPI and the 700r4 from that Z28 currently in my 57' Chevy and have a 3:55 gear, I actually wish the 3:73 was in it... I had planned to narrow this 10 bolt and put it in the 57' but am thinking of building a 12 bolt instead.
The posi worked absolutely perfect, gears were quiet, no issues whatsoever! You will need to get fresh fluid and some posi additive ( I had a tube of "equitorque" in it from Kragens) since I have just removed the brakes and the axles need to be pulled to do do..very easy... Anyways, I'll call you tomorrow.

Re: What ur advice on this?
chill out man...i probably would have gotten urs but sac was too far for me....I offered you PLENTY of gas money as an incentive to bring it to fresno or at least meet me half way. If its a good rear end then Im sure you wont have any problems getting rid of it. good luck
Re: What ur advice on this?
Since we're talking rear ends, will a 4th generation rear axle fit in my 1983 Camaro? Will it need mods to work? Same width? Same torque arm setup/mounts?
Are 4th gen diffs stronger than the 3rd gens?
And, if I was going to put in a new rear end and wanted to upgrade to disc brakes at the rear, would I have to change my brake master cylinder? If so, is there an easy replacement master cylinder? I'm not stressing over parking brake issues because I have a MICO brake setup to handle PB action. I could actually just use front calipers off of something.
Thanks.

Re: What ur advice on this?
The rears on fourth gens are slightly wider. otherwise, direct bolt up, dont know if they are really any stronger though, they still break just as often, but on a mild TPI, should be just fine.

Immaturity and blatant ignorance is instantly proven upon anybody who seriously uses the word "gay" as a generic insult.

reason people like me, I know them all in real life, I can get away with more stuff that way, you come here talking right back and you have no one that knows who you are really, so they take it as you post.

you could pay less at PNP for a rearend that hasn't been parted out and sitting around with the cover off.
