Re: sooo hmmm...
Can you just notch the hood a little?
----------
or get a set of matched smaller pulleys? crank and blower, that way the rpm is consistent.

That head unit is an entirely different beast.
There's a reason you have that larger pulley and only slightly smaller increments be usable, but not that big of a jump to 3.5".

Re: sooo hmmm...
i did the math and a 3.75" would be ok for the blower. and probably fit under the hood.
and for the hood comments, its fiberglass, nothing to notch lol.

Cuz I like to go fast.
----------
I have a 2" cowl, but keep in mind the offset the blower sits in conjunction with the engine, it touches the hood on the flat portion next to the cowl. so unless I had one of those jongblowed(sp?) hoods, the size of the cowl is not going to make a differnece.
----------
I'm enquiring on the price for a 3.7" pulley + belt, said it would net me around 18-20psi. but it will clear the hood. It will also spin the blower to a max of 71k rpm.

Re: sooo hmmm...
What about actually moving the hed unit down a bit? Maybe re-drill the mounting holes in the brackets? Would that be possible, or is the power steering pump in the way?

Re: sooo hmmm...
You could do it and keep all strength and function if done right. I guess "plasma cutter" sounds pretty harsh.... I have seen it done for mounting turbos in 3rd gens... Just a thought..

Any guess on how much boost you will be running? Are we going to be doing a fuel system in the next couple of weeks? My mom also says hi and that she has her rootbeer floats ready for whenever you drag your *** up to my place to help me on my ride.
