Tuff Trans

Ok, heres your chance to get a good deal on a 700 R4 & what looks like a SLP Torque Converter. This is the one I just ran & beat Bennie & Del with. It shifts firm & hard. Just installing a new TH400. Make a reasonable offer & its yours.

Re: Tuff Trans

I might buy it. I don't know what to offer though. I might be getting an sbc for cheap for the Formula so I can drive it and buy my pieces for the ls1 swap then do it all at once.

Travis He's not asking about your worn out trans...

My trans has 124k on it & just ran Saturday, 13.1 @ 103.
Shifts Solid Guaranteed!!!

Since Travis has put doubt in my trans, I'll even put a warranty on it if you want.
AS-IS $500 w/ converter 6 month, 6000 mile MONEY BACK WARRANTY.

If you really want to remove all doubt lets pull it apart & re-clutch it. Travis when is the last time you were in inside a 700r4??? Lets pull the pump, & replace the clutches etc & freshen it up, maybe even install a shift kit???

Oh yea...w/ a warranty too. There arent enough powerful enough cars out there that could use this tranny, that would break it, or wear it out.

Kid Vette, Sorry, but we dont port & polish heads/intakes etc, but soon we
will be able to Dyno Tune, so after your port work we can dail ya in.

BTW have you ever heard of "extrude porting" ? Its where they push this abrasive putty thru the ports of your heads/intake.

It doesnt cut the head but rather smoothes the surfaces.

Anyway I dont know who does it, but in classes where porting is illegal, the extrude honing is almost undetectable but delivers hp for a fraction of the time & cost. Rambling...sorry

The car has 124k miles on it but I think the trans has less than that. The trans may have been rebuilt or replaced. The torque converter is not painted black either, it's very similar color that SLP sells. All the TC I have seen on 3rd Gens are painted black. I dropped the pan earlier to drain the fluid and did not see any metal shaving or clutch particles/shavings. It's clean.
