G8 GT

After nineteen years with my old faithful '89 Formula Firebird, I bought a new car that actually fits my boys in the back seat (w/room to spare). It also seems to fit all their hockey gear in the trunk!
http://www.businessweek.com/lifestyl...059_425044.htm
It's pretty cool. My wife and sons fell in love with it at the dealer last week. I went and did some reading and based on some great reviews by all the car-rags (as well as all the on-line reviews done on it), we done went and did the deal just in time for Mother's Day.
Firebird will stay in the family as my son will be sixteen soon. I get to teach him to drive a clutch car now (shouldn't be too hard as he rides a dirt-bike well).

Nice choice on a new car. I saw a couple G8 GT's @ the dealer last month. I was happy to find out they had a V8 and RWD. The price can't be beat for what you get .I bet it's a little quicker than your Formula . Have Fun!

Re: G8 GT

Sounds like your having fun w/your new car. The G8 is a muscle/family car.tha packs a Big Punch. I keep telling my wife I want to get her one, but she keeps putting me off. I think shes holding out for the new Camaro.

Lots quieter to!
I'm hoping to find an LS2 for it one of these days. I'll likely keep the stock driveline for the matching numbers, but I don't know if my Formula will ever be worth a whole lot. I guess we'll see...

Not even. It looks more like leftover Audi than anything...
(Interior is all Holden Commodore, nothing is recycled from GTO).

Re: G8 GT

i dont want to argue about parts interchange, but they have the same layout you must admit, that is my point and I believe Vin's as well.

for the record, looks like the seats were kept
