Well, when it runs, you can bring it to:
Rocklin Automotive
6800 Five Star Blvd.
Rocklin, CA.
916-315-0335
We can weld your subframe and also add more tubings to really strengthen the frame. BTW, what SFC do you have? If you need exhaust work we can do that as well and it would be the perfect time to do it while we're doing undercarriage work. Just a thought.

There is always the bolt on option. Basically the same connectors, but you can originally bolt them on and have them welded later when you can find a welder you like. You won't get optimum performance until they get welded, in my opinion, but it gives you options.

Re: sub frame connectors help
i saw that i was just trying to get it welded in before i redo carpet, i read that i might get slight little burns in the carpet during welding install or is that from continously welding each section without stoping

Do it before carpet. There was a guy on here who lost his car to a fire directly related to SFC installation.

There was a guy on here who lost his car from having SFC installed. Most people do a half a s s job welding them in and also preparing the vehicle for installation. Yes a mig welder will weld through the under body paint but if your doing it right the surfaces should be ground clean first. Also the car should be on a 4 post drive on rack to install them. if they are not installed correct you will weld in a twist to your car and it will be really jacked up.

I was surprised by how much SFC change the way a car handles or launches on take off. I'm sold....I might even weld in another set, oh wait that would be called a roll cage.
Give us a call Vinnie, we will hook it up.

Re: sub frame connectors help
I'll be giving Marc and Bennie a call here shortly for mine to be installed. Marc, I have the older square tube sfc's. Should I stick wwith those, go tubular, or does it even matter? I've heard that it doesn't matter.

There's a little more to risk that a couple of carpet burns when you get the SFC installed.
Bennie knows what he's doing, I like eveyone else, can stand by that. Prepare and proceed cautiously, take your time with the install.

Re: sub frame connectors help
I will be getting SFC soon, I have some welding skill (but not much) and was going to put them in myself. Is this a bad idea? as I haven't done or watched some one install them.

Re: sub frame connectors help
Make sure you take your time, don't rush it, and tack weld so that you avoid creating hot spots. The welding isn't the hard part as long as you have time, but you should definately do it on a lift, much easier and the work will be of much better quality. I don't know if Bennie has a wheel lift, if thats what they're called (which is why I chose the muffler shop), but any lift would be better than a jack.
