Axle/Gears: 3.73 POSI DISK
anyone in the BAY willing to help ?

I'm asking if anyone willing to help me ( have money and beer ) for some reason I have a problem putting my distributor in tdc. before I used to get it close to number 1 and it will work fine . now that I'm using as a cam sensor I can't do that no more, my dilemma is my distributor does not seet down properly when in the correct location. I live in oakland by the airport.please help me I want my car to run thanks mark

Couple ways you can go about it. Take a long screwdriver and turn the oil pump shaft so the distributor can set down all the way or drop the distributor in and bump the starter till it drops all the way. I've done both plenty of times without problem.

I will try again tomorrow ...... but something is extremely wrong I have put distributers in and never had issues like this. how much play is the oil pump supposed to have? I think something is stretched or broken down there.

what he said...no biggie just rotate it so it lines up with the male slot on the Dist shaft...works for me...good luck

Just think of it as the distributor being a big flat blade screwdriver and the oil pump shaft being the screw. You gotta get one to line up with the other before things work correctly I've fought and fought with it sometimes and other times everything goes in scary smooth.

I got my distributor in , took bout 45 min . so now I'm taking it to the tuner thursday @ Newtech with Nick . Finally !
