I replaced the flywheel, put in the new catalytic converter and I was ready to pass emissions and be done with the car.

But... you guessed it.. something happened.

My rear end took a dive,

Crap man, I don't know of any rear-ends laying around, but I'll definitely keep an eye out... I might be able to help you wrench on it a bit when you find one, depending on when that is...

Sorry to hear about your bad luck man, but you'll get past this real soon.

'86 2.73 open, brake lines (wheel cylinders) have been converted to SAE. Otherwise, it's a clean, quiet rear. I've kept it around thinking I'd put some 3.73 gears & posi in it some day, but now I have a disk rear I can use for that.

You find one, and I'll help ya put it in. You might try Mic's Camaro/Firebird yard out on this end of town. He's at: 8340 S Us Hwy 85. He surely has some rear ends. Here's his #: (303) 287-5395.

Thanks for all of your help. I found a rear end from 87 bird. It had the posi slip on it, and it has drum brakes. I am putting it in as we speak. It should be done in couple of hours. So, I'll let you know how everything goes later.

Thank God I know how to change these rear ends.

Its just 150 bucks I could'ev kept.

Sorry five7kid, I already picked up the rear end before I pm'd you. So, I could ev saved me couple of bucks. But, I just want it over with and have no luxury of waiting. I set up the contract with the kid, so he needs the car by tommorow. So, I gotta pass emissions first thing tommorow.

pray for me please.
