Looking for a car
Hey guys, just figured I'd ask some locals if anyone is selling a 3rd gen. I'd really like a blue camaro, but a bird is fine as well. Body and interior must be in acceptable condition. In other words no major dents, rust, one or two cig burns is ok, no torn seats or rotting headliners. Don't care what kind of an engine, preferrably V8 but will accept a V6. I'd also prefer manual trans and something under 140,000 miles. Car has to run well, this is an important factor. If you've got a 3rd gen you're sellin and it's not blue, pm me anyways. Don't really want red, but tell me if you've got one anyways. Green, yellow, black is fine. ABSOLUTELY NO WHITE CARS. Lookin' for 2,000-3,000 price range but if you're askin more, tell me why and I'll consider. Keep in mind I'm not lookin to buy RIGHT now, I've got to save up a bit more money. Some of you are probably wondering why I'm looking for another car when I've got an 87' T/A that just needs a new engine. Well that's simple. I've decided to make 1 of 2 choices. Buy a new engine (I've got my mind set on one) and make the mods that I'll need for good performance at the same time, which in the long run will end up costing me a tad over 5 grand, or buy another car. Why buy another car? Well that's because I'm in some major debt right now, not professional but personal. They're willing to wait until I have my car problems sorted out but I don't want them to wait too long. Alright just PM me if you've got somethin. Thanks.

Hey Denny, did you ever get that IROC or any of your other prospect cars?... All I have left on my car is a little bit of assembly work. It came out pretty nice. Quite proud of it actually. I'll have to bring it by your place before I let it go... probably end up wanting to get some to get some bullsh*t detail parts from you anyway.

Andy, I'll be posting some good pictures within the next week. I gotta do a little work yet. Ask around if anyone you know would be interested. Denny - good luck selling those cars... if I could, I'd take the blue & silver TA but I think I had better stop screwing around with these thirdgens and finish my '79.

ya know what I might be pickin up a used 305 for 100 bucks and throwing it in there just to get the damn thing on the road again so I can pay off my debts. What do you guys think? I really don't want to put a 305 back in it but I guess I could do the upgrade later on. I don't know, I've really gotta think about it..

Hey soulrev, my buddy is selling a ? year A4 IROC for $1800 OBO. It's black w/ t tops, gold IROC letters on the side. It looks really good. I think its a 305. Its a TPI. He just had the tranny rebuilt last week, I don't remember how many miles it has on it. It's a really good deal IMO.

What was wrong with the tranny? I don't wanna end up stranded somewhere like this guy is outside of our store right now. He's driving a 93 Chevy truck, diesel engine and I guess the guy had a seal near the pump go out on it and he's been working on it for several days now. He's been there since Thursday morning and is still sitting there as we speak. He's from Oklahoma City and he delivers campers for a living, he just went bankrupt for the second time in his life and he's basically screwed. I feel sorry for the guy but I don't know enough about transmissions to give him a hand with it. Anyhow, that IROC... Is the body solid? No rust? Paint look fine? Engine make any funny noises? Is it hard to start? Interior clean and in good condition?

The last time I rode in it, the paint was awesome, the interior was immaculate, and it ran good. It's been about 6 months though, a lot of things can go wrong in 6 months. The tranny was rebuilt, you don't have to worry about it messin up on ya.
