Re: bought me a new ride...79 camaro
Looks ok .... But I think you took a step down. 1350 could have got you a tpi 350 to swap. Hope you didn't sell the 3rd to get the 79. why does it have a 80-81 dash in it?

Re: bought me a new ride...79 camaro
yeah that does look like a fairly nice camaro, the price on 2nd gens is going up like crazy and it looks like the body is in good shape, so keep it out of that snow and itll be worth alot more than you paid for it.

Re: bought me a new ride...79 camaro
i miss my 79 camaro... i bought it off the orignal owner who was a woman in 1994, the car had a 305, 350 turbo and only 63,000 miles... only a baseball size thing of surface rust on the passenger door. i picked it up for only $1200 and did some stuff to it and then some 85 year old dude smashed in the rear quarters and drivers side door. to this day, i miss that car!!!!
when i bought my GTA i was originally looking for a 79 or 80 Z28... i wasn't getting any luck so i got the GTA.... i'd still really like another 2nd gen!

Re: bought me a new ride...79 camaro
very nice fine. to bad to hear about the rod knock. alot of camaro and firebirds are always beaten on. check the oil and see if theres any rearend fluid in it. i know alot of older gear heads put that in there to quite knocks. or it could be your flywheel. check everything before you buy stuff you might not need.
p.s. i love black camaro's. to bad no t-tops or i would be in love.
