Caravan to Thirdgen Fest '04: North
This board is for people to organize caravans to Thirdgen Fest. If you're coming from the north and want to cruise down with other people from your area, post your information here. Meeting places can be arranged to head to the gathering as a group. (Note: This board is for people outside the Chicago area. If you are local, there are caravan boards on the Chicago suburbs board.)

Anyone coming from the north is welcome to join up with us local guys too if you will be taking 294. We will be meeting at the Bennigans parking lot at 95th and Ridgeland in Chicago Ridge, IL. It is about a mile or two east of 294, so not far out of the way. No set time yet, but I'll keep ya posted.

Lets try and keep these caravan posts for organizing a caravan guys
. Once some organization begins, these threads will probably get pretty cluttered. PMs, e-mail, and AIM can be used for other stuff. Thanks

I'll most-likely be going even if my car isn't looking it's best by then. I'm in the gurnee area (right off 94) so i can meet up with you WI guys and then go meet the others down south a lil ways.

Yeah, the best idea is to find a place for everyone thats in wI thats coming to meet in Milwaukee somewhere and we can all head down there. I will be gathering the other 3rd gen owners from Brew City Muscle to come... We will set up a good meeting place and then we can post directions to it and get the ball rolling.

Knyghtmare,
Is there already a post about this over on Brew City? if so I must have missed it. Anyways Last year when we caravaned to the Nats in Maryland we met up at the McDonalds on Ryan road. Works pretty good because its right by I94 and they have a fairly large parking lot in the back where we would deffinatly have enough room for everyone. Or if people wanted a little better choice for food we could meet at one of the truck stops which are right there too.

Anyone that was planning on meeting up with the Milwaukee group should know that it seems to be falling apart. Knyghtmare won't be going now due to his car not being finished. Someone that is still going needs to PM him and get the info for the caravan. I would do it but my car isn't done in time either so Im just taking my truck which wont be much fun in the caravan so my friends and I will be heading down on our own. I hope this doesn't change anyones mind about going, and Im sure you all know what its like to have your project take longer than you expected.

You can still join my caravan, we're leaving at 11:00 though. The info is on the NW Indiana/South Chicago Boards board. PM or IM me for more info and to exchange cell numbers if you wanna meet up with us.
