My thoughts

I was reading that closed thread and had a few comments.

One, in regards to someone's reply, there were about 75-80 thirdgens that showed up to the '03 Nats.

The price was a bit high because of renting a place, and insurance as well as other stuff.

You will always have people that complain about the price. It's just something you can't get around though. People, want a nice event, with extras, and those things add up. Just do the event how you want and let those that want to come come. To help with no-shows, make it so people pay up front, when people have money on the line, they tend to show up.

Just pay the $35.00 or don't come...

I have been off the board since the fall. I have two cars, a '86 Camaro and a '92 Camaro. I got the '92 just after te fest last year. I have been to all of the past Third Gen fest. Last year my '86 was not in prime time looking condition so it was put in(for lack of a better word) the other lot. No big deal to me. The previous two years when my '86 car was A plus and it was front and center but last it had been hit and was getting repaired. It didn't look A plus and it didn't look terrible. I had no problem with my car being in the front the previous years so how can I have a problem when it was not in the front the next year. In life you get what you earn. All this did was spur me to want to get my new thirdgen(the '92)in the front row. It looks good right now and will be even better by Memorial day. If all goes well I will drive both cars and both will be in the front row or close to it.

As far as the $35.00 goes this is all news to me but I know that I eat and drank for free the three previous years so what's $35.00. I have saved so much money with Denny buying parts and he even took one afternoon and helped me install a COMPLETE interior from the carpet to the headliner at no charge for labor. $35.00 ani't sh#* in my book. I blow $35.00 everyday but then again I have a couple of good jobs. I could see an upscale fee for front row parking but then that wouldbe a whole new headache. There is no perfect way unless it's free and then that is only perfect for everyone but Denny. I say just suck it up and pay the $35.00. does the $35.00 include the raffle for the car. If it does I bet the winner will forget he had to pay $35.00.

I can't wait to show off my new '92, especially if it is the way I want it. It only has 80,000 garage miles on it and is very clean.
