I tuned in to this site for 3 years now. I live in Northwest Arkansas and would love to go to a Third Gen Fest. About how far of a drive would it be from say ....Springfield, Missouri?

Im coming this year for sure I was gonna come last year but couldn't get any time of work, and I wasn't sure if I trusted the RS drving that far

 

Well, if both cars don't take a **** on me like this year, I WILL be there! I only been trying 3 years running to make it and something ALWAYS comes up. I even bought the tickets in advance this year and wasted the price of admission!

 

06 I had missed the friday by a hair. Made it on Saturday with a leaky trans. Def going to attend 07, thats if the car is done

 

i am debating whether or not to trailer the car there this year......it is only going to be more obnoxcious than last year

 

don't trailer it....no mike, then they will haggle you forever.....

 

but then we could do some "tractor pulls" if we both trailer and see who wins there steve

 

Ill definantly be there this year. Last eyar was a lot of fun. Are you sure you wanna trailer it mike? I thought you had fun tryin to get it started and idling nice last year lol

 

We are going to trailer Dad's car because it deserves the pampering. After all I thrash on it like I am running from the cops when it's on the track{SCCA is FUN}. I will also be driving one of my other cars too!

I just about positive Nick's been to all of them and maybe Nicky has too. The only other person I can think of is John D. but I think he missed one of the first ones. I would have thought Jeremy would be the last man standing (besides me) but maybe not.

 

yea i don't know if my buddy john missed any or not. have to ask him sometime.

 

Only thing that has a chance of keeping me away is 1700+ miles and broke. Either or it would be on. together it might just stop me.

You should use this as a way to expand Thirdgen Fest. Start talking to the local third gen guys around where your at and convince a bunch of them to drive up for the weekend, and then just ride along with one of the. Yeah you won't have your car here but its a pretty cheep way to get here and it brings in some more cars that we haven't see before.


I don't know if youve seen this post but this guy is doing a major resto / customizing job on his car. And from reading his posts he seems like the type of guy that would drive up here just for the show.

i went in 04 and in 05 my son had last min car trouble so that yr was scratched 06 was a freakin nightmare won't get into that but 07 you will see a car that you haven't seen before.. i'm tryung to get some local 3rd gen owners to make the trip with me

 

I would be interested if some people from other regions like SW were interested.
I remeber the National Gathering in 99 was in Noble Oklahoma which I was 14 at the time and didnt have my car yet. How many people from the SW area do you guy normally end up attending?
I just wish there was a following like this in Kansas, Oklahoma, North Texas area.

When exactly is this event? Sorry, I don't when Memorial Day is as we don't celebrate this in Canada.

As near as I can figure this event is about 9.5 hours away (Chicago is 10). Don't mind the drive.........that's what the tunes are for.

 

Bring it closer to Wyoming and i will love to go. LOL. If the money and dates are all good i could bring my camaro club from Wyoming up. About ten cars.

 

it's in may last i checked. a simple search on google or yahoo would get you the exact dates. Furthermore this is 30 minutes south of chicago if you were interested.

Ill be going. Its not that far from me and lookign forward to the fun. Hopefully i will be able to have things done so it isnt so much of an eyesore.

I haven't been able to go to this yet, and this year I told myself for SURE I'd be going. But I have to go to SE Missouri that weekend for some extended family reunion or some crap. I'm gonna see if it's mandatory that I'm there.

the last one turned out awsome. To me i think it gets better every year and last year was a good show. i am looking forward to 2007 it marks my car for being 20 years old

 

how much does this cost?

 

$35 for the weekend per car not person, so if you bring some friends it's still $35 total. If you don't pre-register before the date on the sticky then it's $45 the day of the show.
