I look at the weather on 2 different sites and they both said that it was going to rain both sat and sun the 26,27. but that 9 days away and the weather might change by then. If anyone has weather information please lets us know.

 

the weather man can't get tomorrow's weather correct. 9 days is even more optimistic

 

I just checked the weatherhannel.com and it says that there is a 40% chance of rain on Sat. and 10% on Sun!!! It also says that it will be about 70 degrees, that would be nice after the HOT one we had last year and the cold one the year before!!!

 

Is Sunday a official rainout day Beth?

 

doesnt it always rain that weekend? i think it has called for rain during every thirdgen fest since the beginning...hopefully this year is different.

 

I think the early forecast has called for rain the last few years but by the end of the week it's always changed to being nice. I think the first Thirgden Fest was the only one that got any rain. We'll just have to hope for the best.

If it's just a few showers throughout the day, we'll still be on for Saturday. If it storms Saturday it will be put off until Sunday. If Sunday is no good, it will be Monday. That's the nice thing about having it Memorial Day weekend. It would be pretty unlikely to get rained out three straight days.

 

Only problem with rescheduling it is people have made plans ahead of time for saturday and if the day changes they probably wont be able to go.

 

Getting nervous about the weather. Chance of rain percentage going the wrong way!

how soon til we know if its going to still be on sat? i cant afford the gas all the way to chicago and then find out its gonna be on sun . its 3.59 a gallon here in the fort

 

I even heard HAIL! I am scarred to even think what would happen then! I don't know anybody with parts for these cars. Maybe we should have it indoors. Ok Denny get the garage cleaned up even better than it was 4 years ago. If we use the jack I think we can fit 6 in there. Did you get the handicap portojohnnie? I know we can fit 2 in there. We also are going to need some conduit to prop up the Moon Pillow! We can fit another 4 or 5 under there. I will bring the tape and twine and the california water blade for the late arivals(incentive to get there early)!

Lets just have some FUN with this. Every single car attending has seen rain at least once on the hauler comein' from Norwood or Van Nuys. So those never seen a drop of rain or snow stories will not be tollerated in the garage this year. Bring your waders and your umbrellas cause its time for TGO boys and girls.

 

No whinnning about gas because Chicago has the highest proces in the country, although I totally feel your pain. I heard the rain will be off and on. I think Denny will just go foward. Do we still have the tent available?

 

well i just looked at 3 weather channals they said sat rain early in the morning and then later at night. so it looks ok for the afternoon and later hours. but some weather channels make it sound like it will rain all day saturday. they all have a different story. well anyway I hope to see you all there.

 

40% chance isn't enough to make me skip it, and remember it can be POURING in chicago and crete won't have a drop of rain. One year it rained for 15 minutes, no biggie--just have to remember to roll up my windows this time around.

 

well, it must be my fault. just washed and waxed the car and its pouring over here in northlake. hope this doesn't continue throughout the day.
