No track today for me ....
Made it to the event but didn't make the track. More on that in a second.
First I just wanted to say that I thought the event was cool! Nice meeting everyone and nice checking out everyone's cars.
This is mainly for Kat, Snowy, and PonyKiller87 since I was suppose to work with them on some PROM stuff. Why wasn't I at the track? Actually, I was - but I left. Full Story (copied from an e-mail to friends):
>Felt like I was battling every little thing today. I went to
>the track ... but left. Clouds were overcast and there was a
>little drizzle on the way there. No big deal really. Just
>the first sign of crap. Got there and drove through the pits.
> WTF. They were the pits ... totally crappy. I was driving
>through mud!!! I finally found a spot to change my wheels.
>Got out and my tires were cakes. You couldn't even see tread
>
Oh well. I got set to change the wheels. Took everything
>out of the car, put on my new gloves, got out my new track
>jack. Started unlossening the lugs .... and then partially
>stripped the locking lug. WTF. I *NEVER* do things like that.
>Hammered it to try to get it back on and after several wallops
>it went on. Whew. Got all the lugs loosened. Went to jack
>up the car and the jack would not hold hydraulic pressure.
>WTF!? Messed around with the jack for like 20 minutes. No
>deal. Followed the bleeding procedure and everything.
>Nothing. GRRRRRRRR. Asked around for a jack and nobody 'had
>one'. Yea right. That was it. I was done. Put everything
>back in my car, got my money back, and drove home .... with
>frigging mud shooting up into my wheel wells. Car is a mess
>... but safely back in the garage. Took that stupid jack back
>to poop boyz. I'm going to go buy an AC Delco jack from Sears
>... they have a nice one there that I saw the other day
>
>The only good side is that I got like 14,000 records of data
>to pour over. If I see anything interesting I will post later.
>
>t, BSR
So - sorry guys that I wasn't there to work with you. I was pissed off, fed up, and rediculously grumpy because of it. Snowy/Kat - contact me off list. I have that BIN for you. PK87, hit me up for some info or maybe we can arrange a time so that I can sit down with you guys and go over everything. If you guys want to meet some other weekend that would be fine by me.
THANKS FOR THE FIRST PLACE CAMARO AWARD!!! Yea, I wasn't there to accept it because I was out helping other thirdgenners! Hope that was ok.

Gotta get him swapped over to a true manual binary along with the changes he currently has ... and the changes that we couldn't implement due to the storm that rolled in and the PPII wanting to program only when it wants to.

That sucks, Tim. Oh well, there's always next time. I'm going to pick up one of those Harbor Freight lightweight jacks for track use.
Guys - I was the dude who rolled by the fairgrounds in the electron blue Z06. Lots of nice third-gens there! I'm a fourth-gen owner, too
