Sorry about the delay in the date folks, it's been pretty tough to get a date that works. It's still 3 months out, so that should give everyone plenty of time to make any arrangements.

Here's the plan:

Track Day
July 23rd
Cecil county Dragway
http://www.cecilcountydragway.com/
1916 Theodore Road
Rising Sun, Maryland 21911

Show Day
July 24th
North Point State Park
http://www.dnr.state.md.us/publiclan...orthpoint.html
North Point Road
Edgemere, MD 21219

Directions will be ironed out and forthcoming.

TGN Costs
$3 Entry per car into park (paid directly at gate)
$10 TGN 05 per car show cost
$10 ea person, kids 14 and under are free (Lunch included) [you will be provided with an armband on check in for easy ID]

Cecil County Dragway Costs
$35 Track admission to race
$10 Spectator admission

We are NOT renting the track out exclusivly, this will be a Saturday TnT from 10-6. Elims start at 3. To rent the track out for this event only was NOT anywhere close to cost effective.

Cookout lunch is provided with admission.

T-shirts details will be forthcoming once a logo is established. They should be around $15ea.

I am working on getting a photographer booked for both days.

A list of local hotels/motels will be posted soon along with other local odds and ends.

Awards/etc are TBD, check the other thread in this forum for details.

Cars. Non thirdgen domestic cars are welcome and will have a seperate class. All classes will be judged on attendee votes. [vote form will be provided on check-in]

Any questions/comments/etc just PM me.

Thanks and I hope to see ya there!

I thought it worked out purfectley.

In all serousness, you can never get a vote someone will like. You hire judges and they will be looking at Mesquito splatter under the rear quarter flap. Not everyone built their car for such a level of scrutiny. That's why it's nice to put it in front of the viewing public for what they like and dislike.

But when you do participant vote, it turns into politics, a you vote for me ill vote for you kind of thing. Or the winner is the person who brought the most friends with them, not the person who is the most deserving.

if it was up to me, i would have a few of the members that are attending but might not be showing and/or get a couple of shops or other outside people to judge the show. Set up a point scale that every car would be judged equally (e.g. 1-10 for exterior, 1-10 for interior, etc)

Ugh.

The cars will not be judged professionally. They are most all driven cars and are not built for it.

This again is NOT A JUDGED CAR SHOW.

It's a gathering, and a couple awards sounded like fun. It's nothing to stress or complain over folks. The cars will have a simple participant vote, just for fun.

No classes, it's just TnT for fun. We don't have the budget to rent the track out and run classes.
