Pulled a perfect light!

I've been practicing my launching lately and finally got to try it out at the track. Well on my first run I pulled a .500 light...the run was slow, a 15.2...but I was stoked about the r/t.

I got a .511 on Friday night but haven't had a perfect .500 for 4-5 years now.

in all my years of racing i have had 2 perfect lights and one .501. unfortunately both of the perfect lights were in time trials, the .501 was in eliminations, the othe rguy just came over and shook my hand and said"nice light".
it all evens out though, i once cut a .507 adn was late. the other guy went .502 adn we both ran dead on our dials. went through the traps foot on the wood wondering if i beat him, then i saw his lane light come on.
the coolest part of cutting a really good light is passign the tree and wondering if the buldb was red cause you were so close

later

At my track it shows your r/t on the board as you go down. Nothing like staring at a .497 red light for a 1/4 mile.

I was there when he did this. That was just plain awesome Dale Gotta get rid of the gears in the back though. The prize they gave him by the way was a, get this, HONDA hat

Congratulations! Good job. I like anything below .520 and of course when I cut a .496 or something I still consider it a good light even though I lost.

last night raced on the track for the first time, my first light was a .813 and my 2nd was a .590, i thought that was pretty good for my first time at the track.
