Who cares that this is a turbo Mustang. The video is worth watching anyway.

It was shot at Medicine Hat Alberta at the end of August on their 1/4 strip. This is a 347 cid small block ford running on a 10.5" tire. The last run is the best.

After watching this, I would really love to put a turbo on my car!!

EDIT: This is also on pump gas, the car is street legal and driven on the street. Apparently it also ran in Mission BC which has a track sitting at sea level and it ran 8.50's!

I'd be curious to know how well the stang would be as a racer. You can hear the turbo spooling up and he launches well after the light turns green. There's no way you could launch at the same boost pressure every time to make the car consistent.

No idea on the LS1 power but the Mustang is over 1200 (at the wheels)

 

i seen that 57 in person once and it is awesome as all hell, but its only pushing 700ish hp on motor i believe. thats alot but for 8 turbos, i was expecting alot more!!

 

yea i was thinkin the same.. 8 turbos on Ls1 thats pushin 700hp seems lil low, still ****in fast tho!

that car was in nov 04 hotrod. it made 730 hp and 710 tq. it was a show car thing, not really done to make power, more to look cool. any turbo guy flinches when he sees that ! too many turbos, too much weight, and a single t76 would have made 850hp.
