WS6 launch pic

Just wanted to share one of my launch pics. This is on street tires with all stock suspension and the sway bar ON the car with a bolt on 305/700R. This pass was a 1.834 60 ft.

man, it wont work. Well, it's the same car as in my sig. The front end was a little higher and it had the stock GTA wheels on the front.

what have u got done to that 305 700r4 combo. thats a mean launch. i right clicked and saved as on that one. i want my camaro to launch like that. it would pick up even higher if u took off that sway bar and got some drag shocks and some 26" tall slicks.

I just got the link to work

It's got a 2800 stall, 3.42's and SFC's.Those are the mods that help the most to get it to leave like that. I've got some LCA's to go on but they're still in the box.

this is funny.....this is a video of my camaro doing a 1.69 60 foot, it doesnt even squat or lift in the front. lca's and relocation brackets,36mm/24mm sway bars, kyb gr2's, sportline springs, its runnin on 87 octane and has 1 1/2 flowtech shorty's. its has stock vortech heads with stock size manley stainless valves, 284xe cam, crap gm vortech intake with 1 in spacer and 650 dp, its a stock used 350 standard bore truck shortblock, a used 350 turbo(didnt even change the fluid) from a van in a junk yard, 3200 stall,3.23 gears,255/50/16 bfg dr's, no a/c no heater no power steering. had 4th gen leather seats and no sub frames. the car weighed 3280 with driver. i built the motor for a total of$985 with tax, fluids and gaskets(i worked at a performance shop, and got everything at cost).

those stiff springs/shocks and the swaybars help keep yours on the ground. Get a drag setup on there and you'll be in the 1.5 60 ft. times!

i could have, but i wanted a car that could handle very well, and im not taking my front sway bar off. besides the less power you use to transfer weight, the more is used to propel you forward. i think it was really decent for a $985 doller motor on 87 octane. and i didnt change anything on the car, i drove it to work and drove out to the track later that night and changed nothing. it didnt spin at all....after a 10 sec burnout.

Wow you guys are getting lucky...

I dump the clutch like 5200 and hit 1.69 60's and my car doesnt even come close to that much weight transfer. I also run slicks, on street tires my car just goes!

even on my 1.94 time, i felt a good bit of movement. I probly can get more if i set my rear shocks to softer setting

Is that right? soft shocks up front and rear to help weight transfer. i always thought to have front soft and rear a bit stiffer to control transfer and rearend.

Even on my 1.77 short times I don't think the car lifts like that. Ever since I went with the Eibach Pros I noticed the car doesn't lift like it did but it still dead hooks. Nice pic, that one is a keeper!

Yeah, it's got sfc's. It's always good to keep the car as level as possible to use the power for forward motion and not upward, but it makes for good pics It got me to the finals so I can't complain.
